A visit to the past

Ashton's Pov-

For the first time since i was 14;mom,Carol,dad and I were sitting together.

Her parents were also present here.I wonder what she has to say.

After our burst out a week ago,she had been living at her parent's house.Gage was happily munching on his licorice candy as he snuggled closer in Dylan's arms. He makes such a great grandfather.

I looked at my dad.I wished he would have tried too.Gage absolutely hates spending time with him.I wonder why.Even i dont like my father but what could a one year old hate.

"So,as all of us know there are multiple secrets between all of us.I want them all out today.I even invited Papi and MawMaw but they couldn't come."

I stared at her.Was this her way of getting every truth out on a silver platter.

I sighed.She has to learn a lot.

Dylan suddenly gave Gage to me and got up from his seat.

"You deserve to know everything sweetheart. We are sorry we hid it from you.You suffered a lot because of Ava and I.Our past came back to haunt our baby girl."

Ava sniffed.I looked at my mother in law.

"When i was pregnant with the twins Dylan and I had a fallout.It was a disaster.A series of misunderstandings lead me to leave him.He didn't know i was pregnant at that time.We met after 4 years when we reconnected and got married.During these 4 years i met Cassandra.I worked as a writer in her father's company.She was very friendly and we quickly became good friends. She was one of my biggest support's when i felt lonely and needed help with the twins but what i didn't know was it was all planned.She intended to keep me with her forever.Her obsession with me grew to such level that she even killed Athena.Our first baby girl."

And then she started crying. Dylan hugged her tightly while Hazel just stood there looking at her parents.Frozen.

I got up and held her palm. They were cold.

"Cassandra was in our school.She had a crush on Ava since then but we never knew her.No one knew her.She was an outcast.Ava and I began dating in high school and after sometime she got pregnant.It was so difficult for us.We were barely 18 and on top of that we had relationship problems too.It was too much for us but we got through it. Our baby girl was born prematured and had asthama.One night when she was 6 months she suddenly stopped breathing. We took her to the doctors and there she was all fine..but after an hour the nurse announced that our girl was no more.We lost your eldest sister that that day Hazel."

Dylan whispered and Hazel's hold on my hand tightened. I just rubbed her back.She held Gage tightly in her one arm.

I could never imagine if i would ever survive if anything happened to Gage.The same with Hazel.She loves Gage more than her life.

"When we got married after we got back together again..Cassandra's jealously topped it's peak and she tried to separate us a lot.She had kidnapped your Aunt Rachel since she was a kid.We got her back after a long time.I don't know what kind of revenge she was taking from us. You know Zoe was born out of a surrogate.She had stolen Ava's eggs and Ava never knew she had another baby somewhere. I never knew Zoe was mine and Ava's.We found that out when Zoe had an accident once and the DNA reports matched.It was such a mess.A nightmare. After it was all over we sent her to a mental asylum.She tried to molest Ava too.She wanted her at any cost.I thought it was all over but now looking at my little girl i feel our past is haunting her.She looks just like Ava and it's quite clear Cassandra is after Hazel because she couldn't have Ava."
