I was going to tell Hazel about this heir thing.I dont want to involve Gage.I fucking dont.

My heart is divided between my responsiblities for my family and my karma.

The day i joined this mafia business i knew just what kind of trouble i was putting myself into.

Being a mafia king did mean having the throne.The throne that was reason for blood between two families.

"Hazel?"

She looked at me through those gorgeous green eyes while she tapped our son's back so that he could sleep peacefully.

When the truth came out that the child belonged to Rafael..she was immediately given over to him because Kiara said that she did not want to raise a child born out of rape even if Alessio had no problem taking care of the baby as his own.Kiara loved her daughter to death but she was emotionally strong enough to give her daughter away because she knew the child could be the reason for the fall of Alessio.No one would accept the child born out of rape.The baby's life could have ended anytime.So she came up with the excuse of not becoming a mother to child who was born because she was raped.Rafael and Alessio fought like hooligans and at the end Rafael lost his life and the baby was taken care of by Alessio's sister Maria.

The baby was none other than Emily's grandmother in law.Lena MarchesiThat is the reason i am protecting Emily.It is not because of any feelings but because of the family rivalry.Emily got married to my arch enemy Fabio Marchesi.

The family tree is very twisted.My grandpa always wanted to reach out for his step sister but her mind was too poisoned to sign any kind of treaty with him.He anyways espaced the mafia for sometime because it was too much for him but he had to return back to his heritage because great grandpa Alessio was killed and there he was;the only heir.Mom became an orphan because Papi and MawMaw faked their death though she always knew they were alive.This became my destiny on the day i was born.
