"The question is where do we sleep?" Marco blabbered while I flipped another page from the novel.

Marco was so kind he gave a fair share of quiet time, though I have company, it's fine. I nodded half meant and licked my dry lips while he shook my shoulders.

"How about we sleep at my house?" Marco interjected which made me pause, put down the book and looked at him as if it was the most ridiculous decision. I blinked at him a couple of times.

"We can't," I say in immediate protest.

"Do you want to sleep on the street then?" he suggest and I hiss. "We can sleep at mine."

"My house will be fine," he insisted.

"Why not at mine?" I frowned, shutting the book I just read.

He sighed, rubbing his temples as he looked at me. "You don't understand. It's different if I go to your house."

"Isn't it more weird if I go to your house?" I protested, crossing my arms.

I am such a loser.

It was final and we'd settle at his house, though before it occured we had a quarrel and complaints--mostly coming from me. Then we settled on rock, paper and scissors which were his niche, leading me to lose big time.

As much as I wanted to stop on my tracks, cross my arms and frowned like a miserable kid; his strength was too good to be true that no matter how I try to break my foot between the ground, his strength still stays on top whilst leaving me behind trailing him.

'He's  annoying'

I thought he'd mostly be generous and soft hearted but no he's stubborn, annoying and awful. I shouldn't have thought thoroughly if he deserves my h---. Aish! He angers me all of the sudden.

He stops all of a sudden and I followed the motion of his head towards a--- convenience store. I haven't  been to this neighborhood and it's quiet, as if the people are terrified to speak or make noises besides the car engines and musics.

He looks at me and I look at him, then our eyes locked.

Instead of being sensitive and looking away, I took the challenge and taunted him in the staring contest.

No such twitch or shaking of eyelids were visible in his. He, in fact, stood still with his eyes going deeper, digging deeper into my own as I quiver and my eyes shake before they flutter close.

"You suck," he blurted. I raised a brow, hissing. "Aren't  you cocky?"

"Anyway, we'll head over to my house, watch something then head to sleep--no questions asked."

"My cl--"

"I'd take care of that," he reassured, resting his left hand on my hair.

"You better," I eyed him before following his steps.

It was hilarious to think that the allegedly ganster--is a mama's boy.

The way his mother sprung into one of warmth hugs made me choke back. A bit of me also envied him because I also longed for a mother's love, even though she's with me I rarely see her and when she does she only shows her affection with books.

It didn't matter what she gave me; I only needed her but she always mistook everything and think books and things will subtitute her love for me.

Anyway his mother asked what we were doing with our hands tied in red yarn. Marco explains yet his mother still teases us, telling us to control our urges. I just sighed while Marco turns beet red.

"Let's lie on the bed I'm tired," he groaned walking to the side of bed while I grasp his other hand.

"Not yet," I mumbled, my heart racing fast.

"Why?" he looks at me without malice.

"I want to play?" I wanted to slap myself for being such an idiot and making it sound more like a question. But he seemed to get it.

"Fine, then we'll sleep," he rubbed his eyes with his right hand and my hand lifted up together with his.

"I win," then Marco threw himself on the cold floor. He closed his eyes and yawned stretching his arms.

"You're gonna give up?" I stared at him.

"Star I'm tired. Please let's sleep," he looked at me with bloodshot eyes and spoke in such a tone I've never heard.

I sighed as  I pulled him up with all I've got but I still got pulled down. "Marco wake up! We still have to change clothes."

"Okay."

This was awkward since we are inside the bathroom. With my clothes clutched, I held it closer to my chest while looking further.

"C-close your eyes," I ordered, my heart palpitating so fast I might get a stroke. He nodded and closed his eyes.

I removed the school's shirt and skirt and slipped on the pajama's he gave to me.

'How can I ever sleep?'

Also, I'll sue Ms. Dalen--whatever her stupid name is.
