A/N:
Sorry for the late update. Schoolwork's been piling up.

"Do you think I'm gorgeous?"

What?

"Huh?" I mouthed, confused.

Tzuyu started looking away from me, twiddling with her fingers.

"Back there," she cleared her throat. "You said that I was gorgeous. Did you mean it?"

This is awkward.

"What would it mean if I said yes?"

"W-well," she stuttered. "It would mean that you like me."

"In what way?" I questioned further.

"In the 'I like you' kind of way."

"That made no sense," I laughed.

"He just completely dodged the question," I heard her mumble.

You are gorgeous, Tzuyu. I'm sure you know that.

"What's making you smile?" She nudged me with her shoulder.

"Oh, nothing," I replied, looking at the sky. "The weather is just really nice today, that's all."

It was a little cold, but the sun shined and the occasional bird chirped, killing the silence from the empty street we were walking on.

"By nice, you mean freezing cold," she shivered.

"I forgot you get cold easily," I chuckled. "Want to hug me again?" I teased.

"Ew,"she said, putting a disgusted look on her face. "The only reason I did that was because I felt sorry for your injuries."

"Aw, you hurt my feelings!" I pouted. "Aren't you supposed to be my mom?"

"W-what!? If anything, Nayeon should be your mom," she laughed happily.

Her smile was a sight to see.

"Who's the dad then?"

"I-I dunno," she stuttered shyly. Her Korean still wasn't that good. "Jeongyeon maybe?"

We shared a good laugh until she nudged me again.

"So, do you wanna go for ice cream?"

Huh?

"Didn't you just say that it's 'freezing cold'?" I scratched the back of my head, completely confused due to the lack of consistency in her words.

"Well, yeah," she looked down. "But it's ice cream, you know? ICE CREAM. And you can't say no to ice cream."

"I guess so," I answered, giving in.

"C'mon, it'll be my treat."

"For what?" I asked.

"For taking care of that 'lil issue back there," she smiled.

"Right."

"There's a really nice ice cream parlor here that I used to go to," she stated, speeding up her walk and taking me by the hand.

It caught me by surprise, tinting my cheeks with a light pink.

Her hand was soft and warm, delicate, fragile almost.

"Hey! You're going to trip if you walk that slow," she told me, looking over her shoulder.

"Oh, right. Sorry," I nodded.

It made me want to protect her hands.
