I was waiting for Tzuyu outside Central Park. They had just finished with their fansign; it was our last in America. I'd expect her to want to spend more time with her members, but I guess we already did that when we watched the movie.

I stood from the bench I was sitting on when I saw a figure walking towards me, lights from downtown shining on its back.

Tzuyu was wearing a nice white polo shirt under a light pink cardigan. She had neck buried within a rainbow colored scarf, her hands digging into it. Her hair was a chestnut brown, lightly curled at the ends.

I smiled as she increased her pace to a brisk walk, probably ashamed that she was half an hour late.

She stopped in front of me, head level stopping near the bridge of my nose, her eyes gazing at the floor, her fingers twiddling with each other.

"Sorry I'm late," she said through her scarf. "I don't want to make any excuses."

"It's fine," I patted her on the head. "Did the fans give you any trouble?"

"No, they were great!" Tzuyu laughed. "They had everything they wanted to say in Korean written on a piece of paper. It was so funny, like we were being interviewed."

"What held you up, then?"

"Well, the fans didn't really want us to leave. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so you can't really blame them."

"Yeah, I know what you mean."

I took notice to the thin level of clothing she was wearing. She was almost shivering in the cold weather.

"Where's your coat?" I asked her.

"I forgot it back at the studio. The venue was pretty warm, so I wore this instead," she pointed at her cardigan.

"You look nice," I smiled.

"Thanks," she giggled. She can be so cute sometimes. "You can wear my coat."

"I'm fine, really!" She waved her hands, politely declining my offer.

"I insist. Your teeth are chattering, Tzuyu. You know I'm better off in the cold than you are."

"Okay, fine," she huffed, putting on my coat. "This is really warm."

"Yeah, it's a- um," I cleared my throat. "It's a thermal jacket."

We started to walk across the park, admiring the autumn leaves lit only by dim moonlight.

"So, how do you like New York?" I asked Tzuyu.

"It's fun," she had a sudden spring in her step. "There's loads of stuff to do here. The people are nice, but some people look at us weird for some reason."

"Yeah, that's normal," I shrugged. "Do you miss Korea?"

"Hmmm," she looked up at the sky. "I miss home, y/n. I miss Taiwan."

The spring in her step vanished almost immediately.

"You must really miss your parents."

"Yeah, I do. I'm really glad they let me chase my dreams."

"What was your dream? To become a K-pop idol?"

"No, not exactly," she shook her head. "Well, not at the time, at least. All I really wanted was to dance. Then one day, someone came to me and asked me if I had ever considered becoming an idol."

"That's cool."

"Yeah," she smiled. "I guess if you just start with a goal and follow it, eventually, you'll find your dream."
