It was a festive season in Nusra's house, all her relatives had come in to celebrate her birthday. They were going to have one big dinner as a family. She found joy in such occasions having all her family under one roof it was beautiful.
         She snapped out of her daydream when her mother called to her, " Nusra, go and get some more flour from the store because these Asidis are not going to cook themselves."
          "Ok mama," she headed straight for the store.
             She was busy trying to find the packet of flour when she heard a loud bang then screams and sounds of gunshots rent the air. On instinct, she hid behind the stack of rice. Everything fell silent in the house and only the distant rumbling of large vehicles was heard. Nusra tried calling out to her mother but no one answered. She was scared but managed to gather enough courage to go and find out what happened. She moved carefully making her senses alert in case of any danger. Her chest was heaving from her heavy breathing and she tried to steady it so as not to alert any threat of her presence....
