Messa is staying with Vellath now, in the room. The two could "be a threat to the other dragons" if they were outside these doors, according to Mr. Cadei. Everything has been fine so far, and I don't mind spending my day with Tya, Messa, and Vellath. It's better than being alone with Vellath.

I have noticed a change in behavior from Messa. The first time I saw Messa, when Tya and I were leaving, it looked emotionless. Now it acts more like Vellath. Sure, Messa won't wag her tail and jump around as much, but it calms me more. I guess.

"What are we gonna do today?" Tya's voice echoed in the large room.

"Same as yesterday and the day before that."

Tya sighed. "When are we gonna do something different? I'm tired of this routine."

Everyday we would just use the stones, test the dragons with those, then try and do it without the stones. I had to do that four times, for each type, but Tya only did it once. She would just sit with Messa and watch. After that, we just kind of played with them. It shouldn't be all work. Then we got lunch. That was about it. During lunch we talked about random things. Messa and Vellath went between playing and asking for food. It was boring. I had to admit it. What else is there to do?

I repeated that question to answer Tya. "What else is there to do?"

"I don't know..."

I smirked, because I won this small argument, and said, "Exactly."

Right at that moment, the door was pushed open. In came a water dragon, and Fonter came slowly behind. I recognized him from testing day, he received his dragon right before I found out I would get Vellath. No way I would forget that day.

"What's going on?" I was the first to speak.

Fonter looked up at me, then at Tya, and back at me. "I- really don't know."

His dragon was scared and backing up into the corner. It's scales that lined its spine stood up. I turned to see where it was looking. Vellath and Messa. All they were doing was standing in the back side of the room. Fonter's dragon had no reason to be scared, yet he was against the wall and hunched over. Like a dog.

"Who sent you in here?" said Tya.

"Mr. Cadei," he said, still oblivious to what was happening with the dragons.

"What? What did your dragon do?"

"Uhh..." Fonter seemed hesitant to speak, as if it were a bad thing. Was his dragon special too?

"Did it do something like Tya's, but water?"

"Yeah, it kinda flooded the room, then made all the water evaporate." He laughed nervously, and scratched the back of his neck.

"That's amazing!" blurted out Tya.

He smiled at the ground. He seemed like he didn't want to talk about how awesome his dragon is.

To break the silence, I asked, "What's your dragon's name?"

He looked over at it, still in the corner, for the first time since he came in. "Gydan."

"Gydan? What does that mean?" Tya said curiously.

"Nothing, really."

"Well, it has to mean something," said Tya, impatiently. Sometimes Tya just pushed things a little too far.

It took him a while to respond. He finally spoke, "Strength."

Tya and I both nodded. Strength is always a good thing to have. Although, Gydan still stood in the corner showing no strength at all.

I looked back towards Vellath and Messa and saw that Vellath was walking to Gydan. When Vellath reached the corner, it sat down and cocked its head. Gydan cocked its head too, and its scales fell down against its back again.

"What's it doing?" asked Fonter. He was concerned.

"Vellath won't hurt Gydan," I assured him.

Gydan stood up and walked to Vellath. They looked at each other dor a while, and then they each took a 'play' stance.

Tya and I laughed. Fonter saw it was okay, and started to laugh a little too.

"They're acting like dogs," he thought out loud.

"Yep," said Tya and I in unison.

We let the dragons have their fun, and Messa joined in too. Meanwhile, we amswered all of Fonter's questions. Except one.

"Why are they different? I mean, why our dragons?"

That we couldn't answer. Maybe, if I do have to make a prophecy, the answer will come. For now, we sit and watch the best friends play, while drinking chocolate shakes, and becoming friends ourselves.
