Chapter Sixteen

We got Alli checked out and Matteo drove us home. He offered to take us out for dinner but Alli was exhausted so we declined.

"It's right here on the left" I told Matteo.

"Cool" he said, pulling into the drive way. Alli was asleep. I unbuckled her and picked her up, holding her.

"Thank you" I whispered to Matteo.

"Don't mention it" he said pulling away. I was carrying Alli up the steps bridal style when a swarm of paps ran up to me out of nowhere. God dammit! They all began talking at once and snapping pictures with bright flash. It caused Alli to stir in my arms and she started waking up.

"Seriously? This is Los Angeles. There are tons of other celebrities that you can pester! Alli JUST got out of the hospital and she's really tired so seriously just leave us alone!" They all got a look of disgust on their faces and began to walk away. I looked down and I saw movement in one of my bushes. I unlocked the door and laid Alli down on the couch in the living room. I walked back out and crouched down so I was eye level with the girl sitting in my bush.

"Hi" I said, smiling at the girl. She waved at me.

"You want a picture? Autograph?" She nodded her head.

"Well come on out then!" She crawled out and stood up. She was only a bit shorter than me. Looked to be about Alli's height.

"Hi" I said again.

"Um.. Hey" She said looking down at the ground.

"Sooo why ya hiding in my bush?" I said laughing. She blushed fiercely.

"I'm sorry I just love you so much and I saw the paprazzi and was gonna try blending in with them so I could meet you but then you got pissed and sent them away so I had to hide so I wouldn't be taken by Max.. I just wanted to see you, sorry to disturb you and Alli.."

"No no it's alright it'll just be really quick because I do have to get back to her. Do you have a phone?"

"Yeah"

"Alright cool. Let's take a picture" we took a picture and I signed her arm because she wanted to get my signature as a tattoo. Then we hugged and said bye. She ran off.. Probably to fangirl to her friends. I went back in the house and closed the door. Alli was awake again watching tv on the couch.

"What was that?"

"A Lovatic hiding in my bush" I answered with a laugh. She gave me a weird look and burst out laughing.

"That happen often?" she asked.

"You'd be surprised" I said with a chuckle. I went and sat down next to her and instantly as if we were magnets she laid on top of me. I began to play with her hair.

"Don't ever do that again Allison Christina Hernandez" I said, play hitting her.

"The thing I did in the shower?"

"Yeah"

"I won't. I don't want to disappoint you"

"I was worried sick"

"I'm sorry"

"Just don't ever do it again" then there was silence.

"I can't believe I have a brother.. And that I met him in a hospital"

"Yeah it's pretty crazy"

"And he saved my life. Like wow. I can't even comprehend all of this"

"Mhmm. It is a lot to take in love. But it really shows that everything really does happen for a reason"

"Yeah.."

"Alli?"

"Hmm?"

"Do you ever wonder about how your mom looked?"

"Yeah, all the time actually. Why?"

"Because Matteo gave me this to give to you" I said. Handing her an old picture of Matteo, Alli, and their mom. Alli is just a newborn in the picture so it had to have been sometime near when Matteo left. Meaning that was probably what she had looked like most recently.

"Oh my god" Alli said with tears in her eyes, grabbing the picture and putting a hand over her mouth.

"I can't believe it.. It's her.." she said, crying into my lap.

"Yeah baby. It's her. Now you know exactly how your guardian angel looks"

"Oh my god I never thought I'd get to see what she looks like. This is so amazing"

"You can thank Matteo baby"

"But I need to thank you too. If you never would've found me that night, none of this would be happening. I'd probably be dead right now. Thank you so much Demi"

"No, thank you Alli. Because you showed me what love is. You've filled a void in my heart that I didn't even know I had. You were the missing piece of me. Now I'm complete" I said, kissing her head. I carried her up to the bedroom and laid her on the bed. She flashed a goofy grin and told me she loves me. I said it back to her and we fell asleep holding onto each other tightly. Causing me to have a goofy grin too.
