I was standing in the training room in my training suit. Beta and Alpha we're sitting on the rolled up training mats.

"Try to regain your balance quicker. It'll be harder for people to take you down," Beta chimed.

I nodded and bounced back and forth.

As a blue holographic man appeared in front of be I punched him quickly in the face and round house kicked him, which made him disappear.

"Good. Now try to concentrate on balancing you weight. When there more of them it'll matter more," Alpha added.

I nodded and waited. Three blue men appeared in front of me.

As they lunges for me I dove out of their reach.

When I popped back up I blocked a punch and joked my arm under one of the hologram's arms.

I twisted it violently and sent him flying to the ground.

While I was balancing my weight a foot slid under mine and sent me falling to the ground. I let out a load groan and rolled onto my side.

"Like I said, balance is important," Alpha teased.

I rolled my eyes. "Cancel training, Spot," I ordered as Beta helped me up.

"You're better then when you first showed up," Alphie offered.

"It's only been a year and you've progressed a lot quicker than we have in two or four years," Beta added.

"So how old are you guys now? You're getting to teens soon right?" I asked as I grabbed my water bottle and popped the cap.

"I'm almost thirteen," Alphie concluded, "which means Beta is eleven and you're ten, and you're better than both of us. Pretty impressive. Right Betey?" He glanced over at Beta who was nodding his head quickly.

"Great. I should get back to babysitting," I interjected.

"Babysitting? Epsilon and Delta can handle themselves," Beta promised.

"The last time they were alone together Epsilon had to go get his stomach pumped from eating a staple. A staple Alph. I really should go make sure they're okay," I said before bounding away.

"Fine. Just don't tell the Chancellor I let you use the holograms. You know how she is!" Alph called after me.

I rushed down the hallways to an open door.

I smiled as I heard Epsilon and Delta playing.

"Hey Epsilon. I'll give you a hug if you eat..." I could almost see her look around her room.

I quickly stepped into the room.

"No eating things. I promised the Chancellor I would keep an eye on you two," I sat cross legged on the floor.

"Look look! The Chancellor got us a special book to read so we wouldn't be bored," Epsilon smiled and jumped up and down holding the large chapter book.

"This looks a bit long... even for me. Maybe we can just make up stories for bed time?" I asked hopefully.

"We wanna read this one!" Delta yelped.

I held my hand out, and with a loud thunk Epsilon placed it in my hand.

"Epsilon this is a dictionary... it's not a story," I told him sadly.

"I know, but maybe we can learn some fun new words before bed!" He beamed.

"You. Are going. To turn. My hair. Grey."

I looked at the book and read through the first few pages.

"How about two words a night? But I get to chose, and you have to go to bed right after," I compromised.

"Three words and we get a five minute talking period," Delta finagled.

"How about this. If I promise you you get to go to bed at nine oh five, I'll read you one word, and then you go right to bed," I offered.

"Deal!" Delta squealed.

I let out a soft chuckle as I looked through the words. Many I didn't know.

But as little as I knew, they hadn't even realized that their bedtime was now five minutes earlier and I had to read about a sentence to them.

"Go shower. You two smell like dogs," I demanded.

"Do we have tooooo?" Epsilon whined.

"Yes. You do. Now don't make me get Big Bad Beta to give you a sponge bath," I said in an ominous voice.

Epsilon instantly grabbed a pair of pajamas and rushed out of the room.

"Delta why aren't you going?" I asked softly.

"I don't wanna!" She declared crossing her arms.

"I know you don't, but it's nice to feel clean, and a hot shower is the cure to a days labors," I recalled hearing that from somewhere.

"I'm not showering," she tilted her head up.

"Well why don't you want to shower?" Maybe I could figure out why not.

"The showers are scary," she whispered quietly.

"Scary? Why are they scary?" I almost laughed.

"Because I'm scared someone is gonna walk in on me, even if I lock the door," she looked at me sadly.

"Fine. If I stand outside the door and protect you from all of the creepy people who know how to unlock a door and want to see a tiny girl naked will you shower?" I rolled my eyes slightly.

"No!" She exclaimed loudly.

"Why not?!" I was beginning to get annoyed.

"Because you're not he boss of me. You're only a year older and I don't want to shower," she grabbed her pajamas.

"Now get out so I can change and sit in my bed," she glared at me.

I took a slow deep breath before acting.

I snatched Delta up and carried her over my shoulder towards the showers.

"LET ME DOWN," she screamed kicking her little legs.

She was extremely light despite the minimal age difference.

I walked down to the wall lined with white doors.

I opened a door and set Delta and her pajamas down inside before closing the door and holding the handle.

"LET ME OUT," she screamed pounding her fist on the door and jiggling the door knob.

"I'll let you out once you shower," I sang.

I heard her groan and felt the door shudder as she kicked it.

"Hey Beta!" I called loudly.

"DONT GET BETA IM SHOWERING," she screeched.
