Damon's POV
"Elena, maybe you should come inside," I say. She slowly walks in, car keys in hand, and sits down on a nearby chair. "If, now I'm not saying they're real, but if vampires were real, would you want to know?" I asked questioningly. "No, but I want to know the truth." Was all Elena said. Great, she wants to know the truth, what do I tell her? Well, I planned on telling her anyways. Maybe i should give her a smaller bomb shell first, like, Stefan's my brother, yah I'll do that first. Well, Here goes nothing.
Elena's POV
"Elena, promise me you won't freak out," Damon said in a hushed voice. "Before I tell you anything, I've been meaning to tell you that Stefan's my brother." Oh no, I think I know where he's going with this, please don't tell me vampires are real! He's just telling me this to get me off his trail. Isn't he? "I can't promise that." Is all I can get out. "And one other thing, I'm a vampire," Damon said, so quietly I barely heard him. I did hear him though, and on instinct, I ran out the door. "AHHHHH!" I screamed, as I ran into Stefan, dropping my car keys.
I remember Caroline talking about Stefan, and one day she showed me a picture of him. If he's Damon's brother, then he has to be a vampire too. I didn't pick up my keys, knowing I had to get out of here, and fast. I started running to my house, it was only a few blocks away, and I was so scared I could probably run a marathon with all of this energy.
I banged on my house door, frantic, hoping Jeremy or Jenna would open the door. Three minutes of pounding, and Jeremy finally opened the door. He tried to question me, but I was to frightened to answer any of his questions. I ran upstairs to my bedroom, threw open the door, slammed it shut, and locked it. I turned around to lock my bedroom window, that way no one could get in, when I saw my car being pulled into my driveway.
Damon's POV
I have to make sure she wouldn't tell anyone. At that thought my annoying brother walked in, holding none other than Elena's car keys. I know what I'll do, I'll take her car home, knock on the door to give someone who lives there besides Elena the keys, and get invited in. "Brother I need you to do me a favor," I more demanded then asked. "What?" He moaned, you could tell he was annoyed. "Just stand outside her window and be ready to catch." I said, a little more evilly than I had planned.
I hopped into her car, and headed to the Gilbert home. With Stefan in the passenger seat, I explained my master plan, just in case she doesn't promise not to tell. If this all goes down well, sadly for me, I won't be able to throw something out Elena's window. Elena will be greatful, but I won't have any fun. Stefan was hesitant at first, but then I mentioned 1864, and he was more than happy to help.
I pulled into the Gilbert driveway and parked. I saw Elena in what im guessing to be her bedroom window, looking down at us. Me and Stefan hopped out of the car, and headed to the front door. A boy, no older than sixteen, answered the door. Probably Jeremy, I thought to myself. "Can I help you?" He asked politely. I stepped aside, that way Stefan could do his part of the deal. Using compulsion he said, "You will invite us in." as his eyes contracted and then returned to normal, he said, "would you like to come in?"
With that, we stepped right over the threshold. "Is there anyone else in here?" Stefan compelled. "Yes my Aunt Jenna is in the kitchen making dinner," he said monotone voice. We headed into the kitchen, where Stefan compelled her as well. We started walking out of the kitchen to head upstairs, when I saw Elena standing on the top step. I turned toward her, which caused her to run back into her room, closing the door and locking it.
I gave one glance at Stefan, and he headed back outside to stand outside her window. As I headed up the stairs, I heard squeaking noises, like someone was moving furniture. When I got to her bedroom door, I realized that she was in fact moving furniture. Elena was moving anything she could to bearacade the door. This just ticked me off, so in my rage, I kicked down the door. When I did this, I saw that she moved everything, including her bed. This ment that I had to move EVERYTHING with my vampire strength. I'm going to be here for a little while.
