Chapter 31

But fortunately, Harry was quick on his feet, took out his wand and stopped the boy just inches before he touched the ground as everyone was simply dumbfounded.

John stepped forward from  the crowd and turned to them.

"Everyone stay back! I've got this," John shouted to the others with complete confidence.

"Are you mad, Smith?" McGonagall asked.

"Absolutely," he grinned.

And he came running towards the horrid monster at full speed. Kalxoffi dived down to get him, but she was too high up to start with to stop him from reaching the wooden double doors. He opened one just enough for his skinny body to pass through. She let out a sharp shriek as she reached the doors herself and pulled them open brutally. She found him already climbing up the stairs of stone.

My inner me was crying even more. I couldn't... I couldn't kill John! I loved him! More than anything in the world. If Kalxoffi was to get him in my own body, I would probably hate myself forever.

He ran up the stairs as fast as he could and Kalxoffi was very close behind, flapping her dragonfly winds as fast as she could. Why she was following him and leaving the rest in peace for now was unknown.

On the second floor, he left the stairs to travel the halls. He did some twist and turns, going incredibly fast for a simply wizard who didn't seem to be using any magic.

Finally, he passed next to the messages in blood in the wall to open the door to the girl's bathroom and hurry inside, slamming the door behind him making Kalxoffi smash right into it. She let out an angry shout and opened the door to see that the Chamber of Secrets' entrance was open and John had disappeared. Of course, he went down, the creature dove down the pipes. I could hear the sound of John sliding on the stone just meters in front.

"Get back here, you miserable wizard!"

Miles under the school, probably under the lake even, he reached the bottom to sprint to where years before, rocks had collapse and there was only a small gap to allow one person at a time to pass. As he was half way through, she finally reached him and took a hold of his leg, digging her claws in him.

He struggled, wildly kicking his legs around, trying to break free. He kicked Kalxoffi right in the face, forcing her to let go. I tasted blood in my mouth.

"So sorry, Hermione! I really am," he shouted as he ran away into the depths of the cave.

After getting over the pain, the monster made her way through the small hole and flew rapidly to the entrance of the chamber was had be already open. There, she landed slowly on the ground and grinning evilly.

The body of the Basilisk was missing. Instead 10 more creatures almost the same as Kalxoffi was there, all working on machines. They all just blankly stared at John, looking bored and lazy, not doing a thing to stop him. In the middle, a Kalloffien that looked exactly like I did at the moment was in some contraption, connect to many wires. Her eyes were wide open and as soon as Kalxoffi moved and arm, so did she. My body was being controlled by her!

"You're done now, stupid wizard," both Kalxoffis spoke at the same time. "There is only one thing to do to stop me and that is to kill the girl! And you wouldn't do that, wouldn't you?" she laughed.

"You're wrong on two things there," he replied wittily. "First, you’re the one that will be done. Second, I'm no wizard. I'm the Doctor."
