Chapter 32
What in that world did that mean? my mind yelled.
Kalxoffi seemed to know because he eyes widened in a terrible fear and she didn't seem as sure about herself as before.
"And thirdly, you don't know Hermione Granger," he smirked. "She is a brilliant girl! More brilliant than you will ever know. She's not like any other girl in the universe. I would know, I've seen so much of it. She has a strength that isn't in body, but in mind. Strength strong enough to free her body!" he spoke so surely and passionately, I could have cried if I was able to spill tears. "Hermione, I know you can hear me in there! Fight, Hermione! Fight her!" John yelled.
I can't! I wanted to shout. I've tried, it's no use!
"Hermione, I believe in you like no one else! I know you can do it! Mione!"
But Kalxoffi had enough of hearing him talk. She flew up and dived right back down, tackling John brutally to the ground. I could see that he was hurt badly, but kept fighting. She clawed him furiously, but he took a hold of her hands and resisted her with every bit of strength he had. But she got her hands free and clamped them around his neck. Shocked and turning blue, he didn't dare hit me.
"Mione... fight it," he managed to gasp. "I... I love you..."
No! I was killing him!
As I was forced to watch as the life slowly faded out of him, I struggled hopelessly in my head. Hands, let go! Let go! LET GO!!!! I felt for a second a finger loosening its grip, but quickly lost concentration. But it gave me a little hope.
Hermione, you are your own damn person! Bloody let the man you love GO! LET GO! LET!!
LET GOOOO!!!
Then I felt it. Like a surge of freedom passing through my whole body making me feel incredible. And incredibly tired. I slowly changed to myself as I let go of his neck and collapse over John, closing my eyes as I rest my hand on his chest and he softly caressed my hair.
"I knew you could do it," he whispered sweetly.
I simply smiled and let myself float away for a moment.
