September child,
You think no one cares. You're wrong.
But I do understand. The world is so full of heartless monsters
Who hurt us.
Who erase us.But I think,
September child,
That sometimes we forget that they are people, too.
I know I do.We have been tormented,
Tortured,
By those we once trusted.
And it's turned us against the world. For we feel we must protect ourselves
From any more pain,
From any more love,
That might come our way.And to keep out the heartache,
We view each and every passerby
As monstrous.
Unfeeling.Oh, September child.
You and I,
We must learn to love again.
To open up, to receive the overwhelming amount of love we give. It's going to be hard, I know.
But I think it's for the best.
It may just be worth it.Let's try, at least.
Let's fight through the heartbreak.
Let's learn to love again.
Together.
