Chapter 9: Grand Chef AutoI was playing a fair game of cards against Lightning. He was pretty good. But so was I. I was just about to put down my cards until I heard a loud noise that caused me to drop my cards in fright and cover my ears.
"What the heck? Chris!" I shouted.
"He was interrupting the game! Lightning was in the zone!" He said, groaning as well. We all walked out of the cabin to see what was going on.
"Good morning, campers!" Chris shouted from on top of the other team's cabin. He was standing on the roof wearing a helmet. "Today, we have a very special treat."
Lightning gasped. "Fantasy football?"
"Expressos?!" Zoey gasped.
"Rock bands?!" I gave a shot at it, hoping it would be at least that even though I highly doubted it.
"Helicopter Bear Hunt?" Scott said. What?
"Nope, it's merge day!" Chris said and I grinned. "No more Team Rat, no more Team Maggots. From now on, it's every man, woman, and Cameron for himself."
//"Finally! It's about time! Now I can finally get Jo off my back, thank God!"//
"Chef, drop it like it's hot!" said Chris. A big giant concrete block fell from the sky and landed on the Maggot's cabin. Zoey and Cameron scampered and screamed to get out of the way. I gasped as everything broke and fell apart, the cabin completely destroyed.
"You crushed our cabin with a block of solid concrete?" Zoey said pissed. Hell, I would too. I was so glad it wasn't mine. All my precious things were in there.
"I had a bunch left over from building a monument to myself," said Chris. "I call it Mount Chrismore!" Hmm, catchy name.
A giant Chris head was in the distance where if I looked closely, I could see some bird poop on the corner of the eye. Ooh, he'd be so pissed if he saw that.
"From now on, You'll all share one tiny, cruddy, little cabin." Chris said. I groaned. I could move in back with the girls, but it would just be Jo, Zoey, and me. And I can't stand being near Jo. If I stayed with the guys it would be with Scott, Cameron, Mike, and Lightning. I think it would be packed as it is. And I don't want to really share a room with the impressionist and the douchebag. But a room with Jo's disgusting self. . . I'd feel too bad for Zoey. I guess I can't leave her alone with her like that. Dammit. But she has dealt with her beforehand when they were already on the same team.
"But all our stuff was in there!" Zoey said.
"Yes, and because I am nice and not heartless, I'll help you get it out." Chris said, taking some relief on Zoey and Cam. "One McLean brand pickaxe, children sized." He was holding onto the tiny toy pickaxe with just two fingers. He threw it at Cameron's head which he let it a girlish yelp. "Enjoy! Later, taters!"
Chris then left from the ladder of the helicopter that Chef was flying. They went off away to leave the others to dig and find their belongings. Chris got hurt and exclaimed as he yelled out, "CHEF!"
"Ha! Glad that wasn't our cabin!" Jo smirked. I rolled my eyes.
"Score one for Team dude and Remi!" Lightning said and punched her in the arm. Ha! Jo rolled her eyes. Cameron walked up to us, or more like Jo.
"Hey, Jo, now that the teams are disbanded, if you want some brains to compliment your brawn maybe we could make an arrangement." Cameron said.
//"Oh boy, he does not know what he's getting into."//
