"Life can be difficult. I'm not saying it's impossible to be happy your whole life. I just think none of us will be. There are times when life can be amazing but it will always find a way to ruin that feeling and replace it with one that is worse. But that doesn't mean you can't keep a positive outlook on things. Staying positive can make the worst part of life more bearable."

"Yeah but how can you stay positive when John keeps beating you up after school Billy?" Kate asked me.

"That's easy, just look around. So many people walk past Avengers Tower knowing they are protected because an amazing group of heroes live right above us. An insecure bully can't beat them, so why should I let him beat me?"

"Yeah but Billy, he does beat you. Everyday. And you just take it! Why won't you tell a teacher or something?"

"I haven't seen a need. It's not like he has drawn blood yet. I'm fine Kate I swear. If it gets too much I will tell you, I swear." I smiled at her. With that I stood up from my spot on the sidewalk to look up at Avengers Tower. "Well, I gotta get going, I'll see you tomorrow!" Waving at my best friend I turned and headed the direction towards my home.

"Okay, be safe!" She said lifting herself off the ground, dusting off her pants.

"Mom, Dad? Hello, anyone home?" I asked into the dark living room. I walked into the kitchen to see a note on the fridge. 'Darling, your father and I had to leave for a business trip for a while. We will be back in a few day. Please remember to feed yourself and go to school. No skipping this time. Love Mommy and Dad.' Yay stuck at home while they get to travel to who knows where. Opening the fridge I grabbed a slice of cold leftover pizza and went to bed. No point in waiting up for them.

As I lay down on my bed I pull my phone out and start scrolling through Facebook. "Damn, I need more friends." I say to myself. Clicking on the suggested friends tab I scrolled a little. Not many of these people will add me back. Soon I got to the end of the list without adding a single person. Not surprised honestly. Ever since I started getting bullied back in fifth grade not many people have wanted to be associated with me.

Just as I was about to lock my phone and call it a night I got a message from Peter Parker. Honestly this is strange. I mean we have a few classes together but we never talk to each other. I didn't even know he knew who I was. I clicked the icon and opened his message.

'Hey William, It's Peter. Well I mean this is Facebook, I guess you already knew that... well uh I was wondering if you had the homework for physics. I kind of fell asleep and didn't get it written down.' I chuckled. Although this boy is top of the class, he has been dozing off a lot lately. Rolling my eyes I sent him a picture of the textbook pages we had to do. Turning off my phone and heading to bed.

-----------------------------------

Rolling over, I cover my ears with my pillow as my room shakes from the train that passes by my rooms window. I groan as I sit up from my bed stretching my back. I am so not ready for today, but I can't miss school again thanks to my mom giving the school her number. Making my way down the hall with clothes I took a quick cold shower to help myself wake up.

Getting out of the shower I went and checked my phone while getting dressed. Two missed calls from Kate and a voice mail from her.

"Hey Billy I know you're up and I am getting sick and tired of you having your phone off! When you get the chance call me. I have some news to tell you so hurry and turn on your phone buttface! Love you!" Buttoning my shirt I rolled my eyes grabbing my phone and bag leaving my apartment building. I'll call her when I get on the subway.
