"I see that Peter persuaded you to sign up." A tired voice said behind me while I was turning my slip into the office. Turning around I find Michelle sitting in one of the waiting room chairs the office provides. "It had to have been him, seeing as you both already work there." She sighed answering my unasked question.
"Yeah, he said it would be fun." I smiled. She squinted at me for a second, making me nervous. "Something wrong?"
"No, just noticed something about you." She said mysteriously, packing her stuff.
"W-what did you notice?" I asked shifting my weight on my feet.
"Hmmm, I'll let you know when I have all that I need to know." She said, once again, in a mysterious tone, before walking out of the front office.
"Michelle has always been a...unique one." The receptionist smiled. Nodding I finished signing the permission slip before walking into the hallway.
"I am gonna need to keep an eye on her. She is smart, it will be easy for her to know Wiccan." I whisper to myself. Walking down the hall I made my way to the cafeteria. Before opening the door my phone began to ring. "Hello?" I asked the unknown number.
"Beware." A voice spoke sharply before hanging up. Confused I put my phone away and walked through the double doors. Peter, Ned, Kate and Michelle were all sat at our now usual table. Approaching the table Peter scoots over so that I could move a chair next to him.
"I just think it's cool that Spider-man has a sidekick now." Kate continued their conversation.
"Ehhh I don't think Wiccan is his sidekick, I think they are just partners." Ned said.
"Yeah I agree with Ned." Peter piped in.
"I feel like Spider-man is actually Wiccans sidekick." I said smiling a little, glancing at Peter.
"No no no no. Spider-man is to cool to be anyone's sidekick." Ned interjected. "What do you think Michelle?"
"They're dating." She spoke looking up from her book making me tense.
"What makes you think that?" Peter asked.
"Just like looking at a married couple, I can just tell they are together." She told us looking between me and Peter.
"Maybe you're right." Peter shrugged. "Is everyone ready for the field trip tomorrow?"
"Yeah." All three of us say in unison.
"Great, me and Billy are excited to show you guys the tower."
"Well you more than me." I smile at him. "You get to hang out with more of the tech squad. I usually am with Pepper and working on HR and just over all business."
"Yeah but you get to see some of the Avengers almost daily right?" Ned asked.
"Not really. I see Scarlet Witch the most. Sometimes Black Widow." I explain.
"What about Spider-man and Wiccan?" Kate asked.
"A few times, but they seem busy trying to get their team dynamic working." I said shrugging. "What time do we have to be here for the field trip?"
"They said that they will be loading the bus at 7:15. So be here around 7:10?" Ned answered as the bell rang. "See you guys tomorrow!" He shouted leaving the table Kate leaving shortly after.
"See ya." Michelle mumbled gathering her stuff. "Hey Billy can you help me with something?"
"Uh, sure." I said grabbing my bag and standing next to her. "What do you need my help with?"
