The Young Avengers

First Mission

The self piloting Iron Man suit slowly set me down on the penthouse level of the Avengers Tower where Pepper was waiting for me with yet another clipboard. "It's good to see you again Billy. Come this way and we can get started on today's training." She said looking up from the clipboard smiling at me. I nodded putting my hood down and followed behind her. "So today you will be mainly working with Wanda today but later today we have planned for you and Spider-man to do a quick mission. Nothing to big for your first night out, but you will have to be prepared." Pepper informed me as we made our way to a training room. Wanda was sitting in the room meditating and waiting for us. 

"I've been told you have a few new powers since we last saw each other." Wanda spoke as she stood up. "I'm pretty excited to see what all you can do now." She smiled.

"Well when do we start?" I smiled.

"Now!" She yelled lifting her hands prepared to fight. "How about a change of scenery?" Wanda asked making red smoke swirl around her hands before lifting one hand to her temple and pointing the other towards me. The room began to melt away to reveal a forest, trees' sprouting out of the ground around us. "Give me your best! No holding back." She yelled disappearing within the trees.

What would be best to do right now? Telekinesis maybe. I squat down resting my hand on the dirt ground. Closing my eyes I picture a web. If I keep it low to the ground she won't see it and With her stepping on it I will be able to know where she is, much like a spider. Ironic.

"Oh telekinesis? Nice work, but I saw that one coming." I heard her voice echo. If not telekinesis what else? Stars! I could try the stars but larger. I stand up and close my hands pictureing the stars before opening my hands. The stars flowed out of my hands expanding into large orbs. The orbs floated between the trees filling the forest with light. "What is this? Energy constructs? That took me a while to get a hand of!" I heard her say in disbelief. "Give me something new! One that might do some damage Billy." Her voice spoke causing the stars to fade away.

My hands began to sizzle and static traced around my finger tips. This was the last thing I had up my sleeve I new I could do. I just wasn't sure how to use it, yet. The last time I did it was discovering my powers. That electric punch was the only thing I know would do damage. I clenched my fist as the electricity began to expand around me. Yelling I raised my hand and slammed it onto the ground. A wave of electricity expanded from me decimating the woods we stood in. Once the smoke had cleared we were back in the training room with Wanda on the ground.

"Wow," Wanda coughed. "That packed a punch! You did great Billy!" She stood up dusting herself off. "Next time we will work on controlling that punch more!"

"Good deal." I breathed out a sigh. "Let's hope tonights mission isn't to difficult for me."

"Oh that's right! You have your first mission tonight! Here you rest a little bit while I go and get all the information you need for it. Peter finished his training earlier and is in the kitchen if you want to go see him." Wanda said walking over to the door.

"Yeah okay, I'll see you there!" I said putting my hood back up.

"Aura, can you contact Peters' suits AI?" I whisper from behind a corner. "With out Peter knowing."

"Why yes I can. Why do you ask?" My suits AI spoke back.

"I want to scare him. You think his AI might be down?"

"I shall ask her." After a few seconds Auras' voice came back. "Karen has agreed to startling Peter. She is waiting on your instructions." I smile.

"Tell her to shut down his suit entirely." I chuckle.

"What are you doing Billy?" I heard someone whisper into my ear making me jump.
