Let's Go

The harsh sound echoed through the abandoned building making my heart stutter. Mice scurry from underneath a fallen piece of sheet metal that had fallen from the roof. "Are you sure this place is structurally sound?" I ask still trying to slow my breath.

"Oh yeah, I had Karen scan the place when I first found it." Peter reassured me.

"Okay, well what were you asking me before I almost had a heart attack?" I ask leaning back onto the web hammock.

"Uh, it wasn't anything that important really." He sighed leaning next to me.

"Yes it was, otherwise you wouldn't have started asking me. Come one Petey, just tell me." I smile at him.

"Fine." He sighs. "I was wondering if, maybe, you wanted to go on a date sometime?" He muttered, quickly looking up at the stars. My face begins to heat up.

"Really?" I ask.

"Only if you want to. I know you keep saying we aren't dating and all, but I don't know."

"What do you have in mind Spider-boi?" I smile raising an eyebrow.

"OH! Uh it's a surprise. I'll have everything set up and I'll pick you up at eight on, how about Thursday?" He smiled.

"Yeah Thursday is great. Anything specific I should wear?"

"Anything is fine but you will need to bring your suit too. Now let's get you home before it gets to late, yeah?" He smiled grabbing my hand and helping me down.

After closing my window to my room I mad my way towards my closet to change before laying in bed. Pulling my phone out, I opened my messages to see a few unread texts from Kate.

'Billy, I just had a really weird conversation with my parents.'

'Billy, hello?'

'William you better answer me! I really need to talk to you!'

'Sorry I was out on my first mission. Whats up?'

'Well look who is finally messaging me back. What a great best friend.'

'Anyway, my parents had a talk with me...'

'What kind of talk..?'

'Thankfully not that kind of talk...but...apparently my parents are partners with Stark industries now...'

'And I will be seeing you and Pete some time in the future and help Stark Industries, according to my parents...'

'Wait seriously!?'

'Yeah... I'll let you know more when I find out more...it might take a while to find me a spot...but yeah...Im pretty excited!'

'Well yeah let me know. I'll give you a ride as soon as I figure out how to control more of my powers!'

'Well I'll see you at school, I'm exhausted from my mission.'

'Yeah okay...night!'
