"How long has he been unconscious?"
"Three hours now, have you heard anything from Peter?"
"No, still MIA."
"He's not MIA! He ran off while Billy was passing out on the floor!"
"I think he's coming to."
The voices going silent as my eyes fluttered open. Around me stood Tony, Wanda, and a still very angry Kate. I was once again laying on the cold examination table where they first told me that I was a mutant. As my eyes continued to adjust to the bright light I noticed that Tony had a hint of anger in his eyes.
"Best. Nap. Ever." I yawned sitting up. "So, Peter hasn't come back yet?" I asked grabbing the cup of water next to me. Kate sighed. She was clearly far angrier about it than I was, well she showed it more.
"No, and he turned his locator off." Tony answered for her.
"Are there any snacks?" I asked, downing the cup of water in one gulp. Tony waved his hand for an assistant to come in from the hallway.
"Go to the vending machine a few floors down and grab a few bags of chips and a granola bar." He instructed handing the young man a few bills. "Okay snacks are on their way, in the meantime tell me what you remember."
"Uh. I remember trying to stop the Green Goblin, he's a new villain I guess. After the fight went on for a few minutes, while we were waiting for Peter as reinforcement, the Hood came out of the smoke to get the Goblin. With the last bit of energy I had I teleported the Goblins hoverboard to the bomb safe room incase it was rigged to blow."
"Smart move." Tony muttered, thinking about something. Soon silence filled the room once again.
You know where he is don't you. I heard Kate think into my mind. I completely forgot the telepathic link was still connected. Looking over at Kate, I attempted to nod without Tony or Wanda noticing. Good, when you feel recharged I'm guessing you are going to teleport to him? I nodded again.
"Billy, you need to stop using so much energy like that. It can be damaging." Wanda said with a flash of sorrow in her eyes like she had seen something we couldn't.
"I'm sorry Wanda. I'll try better next time, but I need to get stronger if I'm going to beat the Hood." I sighed looking down at my hands. They were rough, with scrapes from the concrete. "I don't know how I'm supposed to be able to have the energy to beat him."
"Look, I can't tell you how your powers work. I don't even know how mine work," Wanda paused, "but I do know that it comes from within you. All you have to do is unlock it, and I am positive you will." She looked up with a smile.
"Thank you."
"I have the snacks, Mr. Stark." The assistant poked his head in, arms full of bags of chips and other snacks.
"Good, put them on the side table, and you're dismissed for the day." Tony waved him off. Quickly the man shuffled in and dropped the stuff on the table before quickly leaving again.
"When will I be able to head home?" I asked grabbing a bag of chips.
"Well, seeing as you're awake and fine now, you can head out whenever you're ready. Although, we ask that Kate stays with you, just incase you faint again." Tony said walking towards the door. "I have to get going, I have some paperwork to fill out for damage control. They aren't too happy about what happened at Oscorp." He waved before walking down the hall.
"I should probably get going as well. When you see Peter tell him I'd like to have a word. Also, your telepathy is pretty loud." Wanda smiled waving us goodbye.
