"Okay today we will be taking a small field trip to the Museum of Modern Art today." Our teacher said standing at the front of the bus. "Your assignment is pretty simple today, fill out this worksheet with information regarding this months guest exhibit." He said passing out a paper to each student as he passed.
"This is going to be so boring." Ned whined while he looked over the sheet.
"Stop complaining there is less than a page of questions and we get out of like three classes." MJ spoke up rolling her eyes, already filling out a few answers.
"Plus before we got on the bus I heard him saying that we will get to choose our own groups." Kate smiled looking at me and then Peter, who was in front of me next to Ned. "So why don't the five of us group up? That way we can get it done pretty quickly." Kate suggested.
"That's a good idea! Right Peter?" Ned said nudging him slightly.
"What, oh yeah sure." He mumbled still staring at the paper he was holding. Ned turned back to me with an apologetic look on his face.
"We will be to the Museum in about ten minutes so, don't get to loud and stay in your seats please." Our chaperone said as he made his way to his seat in the front. Kate put a hand on my shoulder as I looked out the window of the bus.

"Okay everyone, we all meet back at this spot at noon." Our teacher said looking at his watch. "That's an hour and forty five minutes. I will do a roll call, and if you are not accounted for you will be marked truant and be expelled for the rest of the week and receive an F on this assignment." He warned us. A few students groaned in disapproval before dispersing into the museum, leaving the five of us.
"So how should we do this?" Ned asked looking at his sheet.
"I have an idea," Kate said smiling. Oh no. "We partner up and meet up and exchange the answers later."
"Good idea, but there is an odd number of us, so either one person will be alone or there is a group of..." Ned trailed off understanding what Kate was trying to do. Before Peter or I could do anything, MJ Kate and Ned ran off leaving Peter and I standing silently next to each other.
"Thanks Kate." I whispered to myself while I fidgeted with my paper. "Where should we start?"
"Well I'd say number one." Peter sighed.
"I'm sorry," I said suddenly. "I mean for being stuck with me for this. I have no idea how to apologize for, well everything else." I corrected while we walked through the museum. "I talked to my mom and she thinks we should take time away from each other. Not in like a doesn't like us together way, but in a 'we need to figure out who we are without each other.'" I continued.
"And what do you think we should do?" Peter finally asked.
"I don't think we should like, not talk to each other. I think we should, I don't know." I groaned, rubbing my hand down my face. "For now, I guess, we should break up." I said slowly, refusing to look at Peter. "Just until everything has cooled down between us, and we work this out. Then, if we are both feeling up to it, we give us another shot." I said truthfully. Peter nodded while sitting down on one of the museums benches.
"That's probably for the best." Peter sighed. "It's not what I was hoping for, but it's what Aunt May suggested too." He said with a shaky voice. Setting my hand on Peters', I gave him a little squeeze. "The others are probably thinking we are gonna be making up and getting back together." Peter chuckled a little. "When what's happening is pretty much the opposite." He said looking up at me and wiping away a stray tear, making me tear up.
