"Hi, where do I have to go in order to apply for the internship here?" I asked the receptionist.

"First you'll have fill this sheet out." She said standing up and handing me a clipboard. "Then I will pass it on and have you wait down here. If they like what you have written down, they will send someone down here for you." She smiled at me.

"Yes ma'am" I smiled back grabbing the clipboard and walking over to the small waiting area. Dropping my backpack onto the floor.

Looking at all of the information they were asking for, I sighed before beginning with my name.

"Here you go ma'am." I smiled, handing her the filled out forum. She nodded before turning around and rolling the paper into a tube. Opening a similar tube like they have at a bank, she stuffed the pages in and closed the hatch, creating a deep whoosh. "How long before I know if im accepted?" I asked in a semi-polite tone.

"Not long. Give them about five minutes." She said going back to her work on the computer. Nodding, more to myself than her, I made my way back to the waiting area. Pulling out my phone I let my finger hover over Peters' contact. Sighing I clicked the lock button and let my head fall back in defeat. Sliding my phone back into my pocket, people watching is a better idea than making the Peter situation worse.

"Mr. Kaplan?" A man in a suit question standing behind me. Turning around I nodded to the well built man. "Follow me." He said shortly before turning on his heel. Grabbing my bag, I quickly followed him past the construction site in the building. "You'll be meeting with the board, they will ask you a few questions, and they will let you know if you are accepted." He spoke flatly as we stepped into the elevator. Nodding along, I tightened my grip on the strap of my bag.

As the elevator dinged, its' doors slid open revealing a board room with 5 men sitting at a curved table. There was a chair in the center of the room, sitting in front of the men. "William Kaplan, we presume." One of them spoke up, as I made my way to the chair.

"Yes sir."

"Why do you want to be an intern here at Oscorp?" Another asked.

"This place seems like the best place where I can explore the science I want to pursue." I stated factually while setting my bag down.

"It says here that you interned at Stark Industries. What made you leave?"

"I wasn't given the chance to explore, intellectually. They had me fetching coffee and cleaning up after a few scientists." I explained looking at each one.

"How long were you employed there?"

"Only a few weeks." Nodding one leaned over and whispered something to the one in the middle, whose had his chair turned away the whole time.

"What kind of science are you wanting to explore here if given the chance?" The one in the middle asked, finally turning around. "Billy, good to see you again." Mr. Osborn smiled.

"You too sir. As for what I'd like to study? I definitely am interested in Genetics, particularly the X gene and how some people develop abilities with and without it." I answered truthfully.

"Interesting, any reason why?" Norman asked.

"It mainly just fascinates me, but I also want to figure out how to replicate it." I said telling partally the truth. Nodding, Norman turned around again and whispered something to the man to the left. Norman stood up, turning back to me and smiled.

"Welcome to Oscorp. You'll start tomorrow." He congratulated me and left the room. Smiling I thanked everyone and walked back to the elevator. Once in, I pulled out my phone and texted Kate.
