Instinct (Alpha Levi x Omega Eren)

A Nostalgic Encounter

Eren layed in bed as the rays of sunlight began peeking in through the windows. He watched from the bed as Levi ran around, buttoning up his white shirt and grey suit pants. He grabbed his blazer and swung it fashionably over his shoulder.

Just before he walked out the door, Levi looked back at Eren, "You can do whatever you want today. If we need you, I will call you on your phone". Eren opened his mouth to tell Levi he didnt have a phone but before he could utter a word, Levi pointed sharply at the bedside table next to Eren. Eren glanced over and saw a black phone sitting there. "That is now yours", said Levi.

Eren was confused. Levi knew that Eren couldnt afford to pay him back for the new phone. He turned to tell Levi he couldnt accept this, but a slam of the front door told Eren that he had no choice. This was Levis gift to him.

Eren eventually got up and made the bed, had breakfast, and decided he would take a long, hot shower to kill some time and lift the morning grogginess off of him. He walked into the modernly furnished bathroom and reached to turn the shower on so that it would warm up as he undressed. He touched the water quickly with his fingertips, it was almost boiling. Perfect.

Eren stepped into the shower but a sudden rush of pain make him wince and jump back in surprise. His face stung from the scratch he received from the brown wolf. The adrenaline from last night numbed his pain yesterday, but today the flesh wound stung him with the insanity of the brown wolf. No one has really been able to hurt him before, his scars and scratches were usually due to his own clumsiness. Then he remembered how easily Levi had caught him off guard when they were both transformed. It seemed that Erens reaction time could be matched when he fought other wolves, but of course, he wouldn't know, he was usually chained up and blind with rage when he was a wolf. Eren carefully continued to wash himself, doing his best to not bring his face too much pain.

A few hours passed where Eren spent his time making an abomination of a breakfast that included burnt eggs and a mess. He also had picked up on Levi's love of cleanliness and decided to surprise the short man by dusting. Eren could have sworn he heard a soft "Tsk" when he thought about how small Levi was, but he dismissed it as just his imagination.

After cleaning, Eren decided to treat himself with some TV. Back in the orphanage he was usually only allowed an hour of screen time per day, but now that he was an adult, he could watch as much as he wanted.

Rightt when Eren was about to find out what Planktons plan was for stealing the secret crabby patty formula, a buzzing sound came from the bedroom, interrupting the tension. Eren let out an annoyed groan and walked into the bedroom.

He picked up his new phone and answered. On the other line the deep, monotone voice of Levi began speaking, "Eren come down to the bottom floor. Now". The line cut off and Eren felt a little offended that Levi just expected him to follow his orders without question but he quickly made his way into the elevator and down to the first floor, because who was he to question Levi's orders.

He was greeted by what he assumed was Levis 'team'. Hanji greeted Eren with a grin and introduced him to everyone, "Okay guys this is the newest member of our team, Eren Jaeger". Eren's heart beamed. He didnt think he would actually be part of the official team so quickly. He felt warm and couldnt help but give a nervous but genuine smile. The blond man on the right of Levi's group snapped his attention towards Eren, with a shocked expression on his face. Their eyes met and Eren returned the dazzles expression. Hanji continued, "Eren, this is Sasha Blouse, Jean Kirstein, and... do you two know each other?" She said, noticing the two boys looking baffled at each other.

"Armin?" Said Eren after a gentle pause. Was it really Armin? As in the Armin he spent his whole childhood with? The Armin he saw get taken away from him by a kind couple? How did Armin even get here? It takes years of schooling to join an investigation team and Armin was only adopted a year ago. There was no way he would have been able to finish his education that quickly.

Armin took a few steps forward so he could be face to face with Eren. The rest of the team was silent as Armin grabbed Erens face with both hands and looked him over. A smile formed on Armins face as well as Erens. Eren hugged Armin tight from joy. "I never thought Id see you again after I was adopted", said Armim gratefully. Eren replied joyously, "Ive missed you so much".

The rest of the team stood there confused while Levi tapped his foot on the floor impatiently. Eren noticed Levis annoyance and stepped back from Armin and shot an apologetic look Levi's way. Levi was first to speak, "Well now that the greetings are out of the way, we can focus on the mission". Everyone nodded their heads in agreement, but Eren and Armin still glanced at one another a few more times, just to make sure that this encounter was real.

Levi explained - mostly to Eren - that the plan was to hunt down the kidnapper and possible killer who went by the name of Marco.

Levi turned to face Eren, "Okay in order to work well with your team, you need to know what you're working with. Hanji is our leading puzzle solver/ on call scientist. She can defend herself well enough and usually comes with us on missions. Sasha usually plays defence and is also medically trained, Jean is our first line of attack,  and Armin is our stealth. Got that?"

Eren replied, "I think so, but it seems like you already have a well structured team, what would you possibly need me for?"

Levi furrowed his eyebrows, "You'll be on second line of attack with me. Unlike first line which relies mostly skill and force, second line mostly depends on accuracy, and precise reactions. Usually only two or three of us go out at a time, but seeing as this Marco man seems to be quite the nuisance, I've decided all of us will be on call for this case. Hope you've remembered all that because im not repeating myself. Now, heres the plan....."

Well DAMN has it been a LONG time. I hope you guys didnt give up on me. Truth be told, school got a little overwhelming and I ended up completely forgetting I had a wattpad account until recently. Anyway, I really do hope I'll remember to keep updating. Im really enjoying writing this story so I'll do my best!!
