Mal's POV
"Marley! Bryan! Come sit and eat dinner, now. " I yelled from the dining room to the play room.
"Mars, Bry... Come on!"
"Having trouble babe?" Ben walked into the room and hugged me from behind. I sighed and nodded my head. "I'll get them". I smiled.
Ben got Marley, my 5 year old daughter and Bryan, my 4 year old son to finally stop playing and carried them into the dining room.
"What's for dinner mama?" asked Bryan. Typical him, always thinks of food, just like his dad.
"Spaghetti and Meatballs with salad." I replied.
I heard Megan, my 2 year old daughter crying meaning she woke up from her nap. I went and got her. I sat her in her highchair and began to feed her.
"Bry, eat your salad. It's healthy for you." I look at my son playing with his vegetables in his plate.
"NO! I hate vegetables!" Bryan shouted.
"Bryan, do you want a timeout? If you don't, eat the salad. Your mom prepared it especially for you and your sisters you know? She worked very hard." Ben sternly told him. Bryan started to eat his salad. He was slow, but he sure didn't want to get a timeout from his dad.
It's now 10.30pm and it's the kids' bedtime. "Mars, Bry, bedtime!"
"NOOOOOOOO!" Marley and Bryan both screamed. I had to carry them one by one to the room. Thank goodness Ben came to help me after putting Megan to sleep.
As the kids went to sleep, I looked at the time and sighed. It was now 11pm and I was exhausted.
I walked back to the room with my head hung low. All of a sudden, someone hugged me from behind and rested their chin on my shoulder. It was Ben. "let me carry you, I know you are very tired. You deserve a break, baby" Ben gently whispered into my ear while caressing my stomach. I gently nodded and he scooped me up, bridal style, just like on our wedding day.
I soon went to bed, dreaming of my husband, my children, and what a beautiful family I have. Even though Marley and Bryan can be a handful at times, I still love them very much.
After all they are my children.
