Chapter 7: Reunion

Doug's POV
    It was around 2pm and the dads and I were playing with the kids. Well, we were mostly playing with the boys and the girls were frustrated. Elana even cried a little saying that her dad, aka me, loved her brother more than her. At that point I was kind of heartbroken and I explained to her that I loved her since she was born. She calmed down but still was upset. Elana went into the house and got Evie to come out, along with the other moms.
    "What happened? Why was Ela crying?" Evie furrowed her eyebrows.
    "Evie, wrinkles... " I reminded with a little smirk. She, however, glared in return.
    I explained what happened and she told me it was ok. She went to Elana and had a small chat with her. As Evie picked Elana up to dry her tears, she looked over and gave me a reassuring smile. I sighed in relief.
Evie's POV
    It was 3.30pm and I could tell Ellie was tired. Doing was holding her and she kept on crying and screaming. Soon, Megan was also crying. Mal and I went over to our husbands who were carrying the kids.
    "Baby, I don't know what is wrong. She just started crying and I tried everything." Doug looked helpless and I smiled. I cooed Ellie and she calmed down a little but was still crying. I carried her and whispered to Doug, "Did to u try putting her down for a nap, baby?"
    I asked Mal if Ellie could take a nap in the castle. She nodded and showed me the way. Mal led Ellie and I to Megan's room. I laid my daughter down on the bed and watched her breathing go even. Mal placed Megan in the bed too as she also needed a nap. Once the girls were asleep, Mal turned the camera on and passed me one of the two monitors. We went back down to join the others.
   It was soon, 4.45pm and time for everyone to go home. "Mama, I don't want to go home. I want to play with Marley. " Elana complained.
    I was about to say something when Mal said "I mean, Elana and Daniel can sleep over, if that's fine with you, E." Elana and Daniel heard Mal and looked at me with hopeful eyes. "Ok, as long as they behave." I answered Mal and the kids jumped for joy.
    Lonnie, Jay and the twins left first as Jaden was grumpy. Jane, Carlos and Carson stayed a little longer but also left. Soon, it was Devie and us left in the castle.
