Chapter 6: Everyone's Here

Mal's POV
    I opened the door and saw a little boy sitting on the steps of the castle. It was Daniel.
    "Daniel please don't sit... Mal! Hey!" Evie exclaimed.
    I invited them in. "Mars, Bry! Elana, Daniel and Ellie are here!" I called to my children. Bryan immediately rushed down the stairs to see his best friend. Marley was holding Megan's hand when she saw Elana. She picked up Meg and walked as quickly as she could to her BFF. Megan was whining so Marley put her down. She waddled her way towards Evie who was holding little Ellie.
    All the kids went to the backyard of the castle to play. I heard screaming and went to take a look. Marley and Elana were on the floor and Elana was crying. The boys were laughing. Just as I was about to walk out, Doug and Ben came out. Ben gave me a quickie and went to the kids. I think he saw everything on the CCTV.
    Evie and I were left in the living room as Doug brought Ellie out and Ben brought Meggie. Evie and I stared to catch up when I heard another knock. Evie and I went to the door. It was Jane and Carlos.
    "Hey Jane, Carlos and Cars... Wait, where's Carson?" Evie asked. Jane then stepped aside and there stood a shy little boy.
    "Why hello Carson. Why don't you go on into the backyard. Bryan, Daniel and the others are there." I told Carson. His eyes immediately lit up and he ran through the first floor to the backyard. I heard the door open and Daniel squealed.
    "Sorry, Carson is kind of shy around adults." Jane apologises. "It's ok."
    Carlos walked towards the backyard and I told him that the girls would be catching up. He sure doesn't want to be involved in girl talk after that one incident with Mal and the cotillion.
    Soon, Jay and Lonnie arrived with the twins, Layla and Jaden. The dads and kids were all out in the backyard playing while the moms and I caught up and chilled like villains.
    The kids soon came running to the kitchen. "What's lunch mama?" Daniel asked. Evie chuckled at her son.
    Ben lead the kids to the buffet that Mrs Pots and I cooked. Ben saw that Bryan did not take the salad. He was about to tell him off but I stepped in.
    "Babe, let him be. It's a play date with his friends, I'm sure the king wouldn't want to ruin the mood." I whispered into my husband's ear, pulling him backwards.
    "You're right Babe." He whispered back and was about to kiss my lips but I turned my head and his lips touched my cheek instead. His looked sad but his attention was soon directed to Megan who dropped her sippy cup, spilling the water all over herself. I got up and took her to the bedroom to change her, Ben hot on my trail. I told him to join the kids and he did.
    I went back out with Megan and saw the kids at the little table eating and talking. I went to the living room and sat on Ben's lap, as all the other wives did, and sighed. He tightened his grip on my waist and rested his chin on my shoulder.
    I can't believe this is my life now...
