My heart aches,
I never really thought I'd lose you,
Sure I knew the time was coming,
I mean everyone dies,
No one can live forever,
Yet I still guess my heart never really accepted that idea,
My mind always thought you would be there,
Growing up,
We weren't the closest,
But I learnt a lot from you,
I cherished you deep in my heart,
Though I guess I didn't show it that well,
I will forever miss your smile,
And the way you told me off,
I will forever miss your voice,
And the way your eyes sparkled like sapphires,
I will forever miss you,
Time will go on,
And I will forget certain memories,
And I won't remember the sound of your voice,
But I will tell my kids about you and what I do remember,
How you loved us each in your own way,
These last few years I travelled far,
Never really got the chance to see you much,
I now live life with one regret,
That I didn't see you more often.
