Chapter 36: Graduation Present

*3 years later*

Today, I finally had my last class. It hasn't been that bad though. I enjoyed doing what I've been doing. I really wish Niall could be here fr my graduation ceremony, but he's still on tour and he won't be back for a couple weeks. 

I go back to my apartment and tidy up before Tori gets here. Her and I haven't really got to spend any time recently since I started college and she started at a different school. She still has one more year of school, but she gets the week off.

About twenty minutes later, someone knocks on the door. I open it and Tori runs in and hugs me. I hug her back and we both run in the living room and jump on the couch. 

"So what have you been up to?" I ask her.

"Um, school, and work. Oh and I've been video chatting with Harry a lot. I'm so excited for them to get home! Only 15 more days!" She squeals out the last part.

"I know, I'm so excited too! Niall says he got me an amazing graduation present. I have no idea what it could be." I am getting so frustrated trying to figure out what it is. Everything I suggest, he say no for. It's driving me crazy!

"How many times have you guessed?" She asks with a huge smile on her face, spread from ear to ear.

"Like, fifty times." I groan.

She starts laughing at my reaction. I stick my tongue out at her. I hear my stomach growl. I stand up and go to the kitchen and grab a pudding cup. "You hungry?" I ask Tori.

"Yeah, kinda."

"You want a pudding?"

"Sure." 

I grab her a pudding and a spoon and bring it to her in the living room.

"Oh, hey, by the way, I have something for you at Niall's house. He said I could keep it at his house." She smiles and grabs my hand, pulling me towards the door.

As we open the door, Maverick walks in the door from her classes. "Hey Maverick! This is my friend Tori." I smile.

"Hi, you wanna come with us? There's a surprise waiting for Allie at her boyfriend's house." Tori says excitedly.

Maverick shrugs and nods, "Sure." She turns right back out the door.

After about thirty minutes of driving, we arrive at Niall's house. I see Mariah, Perrie, and Connor's cars outside.

"Um, why are Connor and Mariah here?" I ask Tori who is smiling even wider now.

"It's a surprise!" She scolds me as she parks the car.

I groan, "You know, you're the worst, now I have to try to figure out your surprise and Niall's!"

She just laughs as we open the front door.

"Alright, so go upstairs. The first part og your surprise is up there." Tori instructs. I feel kinda like she's gonna send me on a scavenger hunt now.

I run up the stairs and see signs directing me where to go. I end up in Niall's room where there is an open laptop. All of a sudden, the door slams behind me. I try to open it, but I can't. Then, a voice comes from the laptop, just about giving me a heart attack. "Hey babe!" The voice shouts.

I run over to the laptop and see Niall. It looks like they're in the bus. There's a lot going on behind him though, which is a little distracting.

"Hey!" I shout as I make myself comfortable on his bed. I place the laptop on the bed and sit in front of it criss-cross-apple-sauce.

"Wazzup?" He asks and Harry pops over his shoulder.

"Hey!" He shouts at me. 

I laugh and answer Niall's question. "You know, just finishing college. Speaking of which, what's my surprise?!" I whine.

"I can't tell you!" He laughs.

"I'll tell you!" Harry shouts and Niall slugs him in the arm. "Ow, I'm just kidding!"

"Ok,um, is it a bracelet?" I start guessing again.

"No, and you already asked that!" Niall tells me. Now, all the boys have crowded into the screen.

"No, I guessed charm bracelet! That's different!" I laugh.

All of a sudden, the stuff behind them stops shaking, it looks like they stopped somewhere. 

"Oh, hold on. I'll be right back." Niall tells me. He stands up and I can no longer see him or any of the boys. 'Mine' by Taylor Swift starts playing through the speakers.

I sit there for a while and wait for them to come back in the screen. They must have stopped at a gas station or something, and of course, Niall's probably getting snacks.

I lay my head back while I wait. While I'm waiting, the door pops open slowly and I sit back up really fast. I'm finally not locked in here! 

I say, can you believe it, as we're lyin' on the couch. The moment I can see it, yes, yes, I can see it now.

As I see who comes through that door, I nearly scream and cry at the same time. First comes Niall, followed by the boys and everyone else who was downstairs. 

Connor has his camera on, and he only has his camera ready like that if he knows something is about to happen. I'm so shocked that Niall's here that I can't even get up. I just cover my face and try to hide my tears.

Niall walks over to me and removes my hands from my face. He gives me a hug whlie I'm still sitting in the bed. Taylor Swift is still playing through the computer. "Now that graduation present, this is part one." He says as he pulls away from our hug.

He takes my hands and pulls my feet over to the side of the bed. "And this, is part two." He says as he gets down on one knee. 

You said I'll never leave you alone. I remember how we felt sitting by the water and every time I look at you, it's like the first time. She is the best thing that's ever been mine.

"Allie Miller, will you marry me?"

I'm sorry this chapter is so short! I didn't really know what to put in between before the big event. So that's why most of this chapter is so boring. Anyways, I really hope you enjoy it. I've been so excited to write this part for so long now! And now I finally did! Well, I have to go finish my school. It's almost summer break, so I have to get a lot done so that I can pass.
