Alfred sat in his chair, a bright yet fake smile plastered on his mouth. No one knew, one one would know. Except for that damn brother of his, Matthew.
Alfred heard what the meeting was about, but really didn't care. It's all the same junk that's on the news, he can catch up later. First, he has to take care of a purple eyed man, that sat across the table, inoccently hugging his polar bare, Kuma."Al...d? Alfre... Alfred!" Alfred snapped in head up to the sudden British accent.
"Yo Iggy, what up?" Alfred questioned, cocking his head to the right.
Arthur scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest, popping his hip out. "Are you even listening?"Alfred awkwardly laughed scratching the back of his neck. "Sorry, just a little distracted," he answered, his eyes darting to the Canadian across the table.
"Are you okay? You've been doing this a lot..." Alfred tuned him off. Alfred now noticed small conversation breaking out among the other countries, and turned from Arthur.
"I gotta go, see ya around, Iggy." He spoke curtly, leaving the British man confused."Matthew..." Alfred's azul eyes focused on Matthew's lavender.
"What is it, Alfred?" Alfred wasn't fooled by Matthew's soft voice. Alfred knew how much of a freak Matthew was, how much he craves power and recognition, and Alfred was the same."Are you coming over today? I got a new video game!" Alfred gushed. This line was a code name. Matthew looked around shyly, keeping up the act.
"W-Well, sure,"
"Great! Swing by around seven or eight!" Alfred smiled and walked away, towards another country to start a conversation. The day moved slowly, the meeting couldn't have been more pointless. It's always the same stuff over and over: Poverty, debt, wars, navy, rules. Sure America was based on freedom, but that was before he lost his faith in humanity.
Across the building, he could hear their world leaders talking for the press. Idiots. They think they have power, they think they can be a big kid and go all out and do whatever they want, but they can't. The leaders are nothing but a cover, nothing but that. And Alfred was getting fed up with his leader, his leader tried to give hints in his tweets, you don't know how many times Alfred has had to delete a stupid tweet because this guy thinks he can give the public everything!"Alright, we will take a recess. Be back in an hour and half," Alfred looked up at the German speaking. A smile crossed his lips as he jumped up.
"Alfred!" Arthur hissed as he stood up slowly.
"Yeah dude?" Alfred asked, faking the obviousneas. Arthur let out a string of curse words and walked out grumbling.Alfred waited until everyone was out of the room, those who asked him to have lunch with him, he replied happily with a apologetic face, saying. "Oh, sorry dude, I got other plans," and stood by the door waiting.
Alfred walked over to the last country in the room, Canada or Matthew. "Hey Matt!" Alfred smiled, keeping the act up.
"H-Hey Alfred," Matthew replied shyly, keeping his act up as well.
"You ready for lunch? How about McDonald's?" Alfred inwardenly cringed at the name. Alfred's country was so out of balance, your either really buff, or your really fat, McDonald's being one of the main reasons for the latter.
"Um, I saw this breakfast place not far from there, is that okay?" Matthew suggested, knowing Alfred's opinion on the calorie infested restaurant. Relief swept over Alfred's face. "Alright dude, let's go!" Matthew stood up, clutching Kuma to his chest.Alfred and Matthew walked side by side into the parking lot. "You wanna take my car?" Alfred asked, casting a glance at his brother.
Matthew shrugged. "I don't care," he spoke quietly.
"Alright, Let's go!" Alfred took long slow strides to his car, while Matthew made short quick steps to keep up.
