Ryan eyes fluttered open. Instead of being greeted with the room he had slept in, he was greeted with a dark, spacious room. He was close to a wall, only a few centimeters separated his back from it. He choked on his gasp as he tried to move around.
He heard a clinking sound and looked down; chains. And lots of them. Chains held Ryan down from his waist, to his legs, to his arms. A collar like chain was wrapped around his neck with a single chain emitting from it.
"Oh.. Oh God.. OH God this isn't happening! This isn't happening! It's a dream! That's all it is! O-Oh God. Shane!? Somebody?! Anybody!!?"
A tapping sound was heard; it was the sound of shoes tapping on the ground. Ryan breathed heavily as he tried to make sense of what he was seeing. The man was quite tall, about Shane's height, with his head downwards.
He wore a trench coat, which hid a bit of his white shirt with a tie. Blood red horns were sprouted in his jet black hair. His wings were most likely folded behind him, his tail swishing from side to side in excitement.
Death black were his pants and shoes, which echoed a tap with every step. Ryan was horrified but transfixed by the sight. He wanted to look away but couldn't find it within himself to, as if hypnotized by the man's movement and body.
"So.. This is Shane's new pet..?" he purred, his tone was harsh and cold yet gentle.
"How pathetic.."
He lifted his head, his dark golden eyes boaring into Ryan's very soul. His eyes were cold and hard but it was clear that mischief and excitement were clouded within them.
Ryan snapped back into reality and began to frantically tug at the chains, muttering things to himself. The demon chuckled as he watched him struggle.
"You're not going to get out that easily, you know"
Ryan shut his eyes and tried to calm down.
"This is a dream. It's all a dream. I'll wake up soon. I will be fine."
The demon sighed.
"Oh, Ryan. We both know that this isn't a dream. But a nightmare", he said, smirking.
He felt a shiver crawl up his spine when he heard him say his name in that tone. He was now within a few feet of Ryan. Ryan went back to trying to get the chains off when he felt something brush up against his leg.
He turned his head from the chains to the demon. The demon tilted his head slowly, a smirk appearing on his face. Ryan, not thinking, pushed himself against the wall, attempting to get as far away from him as possible.
"How cute. I should introduce myself before I kill you. Name's Sebastian."
Ryan didn't answer. He was paralyzed with fear. The only thing going through his head was,
"RUN YOU IDIOT RUN FIGHT DONT DIE YOU CANT YOU'RE FINE OH MY GOD WE'RE GONNA DIE" etc.
Sebastian chuckled, grabbing the chain hanging on the collar around Ryan's neck, pulling him close. Ryan let out a sort of strangled gasp. His tail brushed up against his leg, making him squirm as it began to climb higher.
Ryan didn't know what to do. I mean, what could he do? All he could do was pray and hope for the best. He felt a hand grab his arm, claws digging into his skin.
"Are you afraid, Ryan?" he asked mockingly.
Ryan's eyes shot open. He was frozen. Sebastian chuckled and pulled away. Ryan almost collapsed, taking deep breaths.
"I truly do wish we could spend more time together. I really wish I could play with you more but.. You do not belong to me. Not yet at least"
He laughed at the last part. Ryan's head was racing and filled with thoughts. He didn't belong to anyone.. Did he?
"Oh, but do not think you are safe, Mr Bergara. You are always in danger. I know your secret."
Ryan gulped.
"W-what lie- s-secret? I-I don't know what you're talking about."
Sebastian grabbed his neck and pressed him against the wall.
"Don't try me, Mr Bergara. I know you're lying. " he growled into his ear.
Ryan felt dizzy and strange. Sebastian snarled, letting him go. He threw him onto the ground, Ryan groaning as he hit the hard, cold floor.
"DAMNIT. My time is up.. Until next time, Bergara!"
Ryan saw as the demon was practically swallowed by a shadow. The darkness closed in on Ryan. He didn't move. He knew there was no use. He shut his eyes and it swallowed him whole.
His eyes shot open as he woke up, gasping for air. He frantically looked around the room, taking small breaths. The first thing he noticed was Shane was gone.
He didn't care that much. All he could think of was how he was alive and who was Sebastian? And why did he want him so much? And.. How could he have known what happened that night..
He slumped down in the bed, his hand on his head. He didn't want to be here anymore. He wished to go home. To leave this hell. Tears formed in his eyes as he brought his knees up to his chest.
He trembled, still afraid and shocked.
"Ryan?"
He jumped up slightly, turning his head to the door. Shane stood in the doorway, wearing a blue flannel this time with a dark sweater. His pants were tan with a black belt.
Ryan groaned.
"You scared the living shit out of me."
Shane chuckled.
"Sorry bout that. You coming?"
"For what?"
"Breakfast. Breaky, as they say in other parts."
Ryan smiled slightly, getting up. He looked down at him, realizing he wasn't wearing a shirt. He awkwardly covered himself. Shane smirked.
"Oh calm down. I don't mind. Oh, and, uh, clothes are in the closet", he said, turning around and leaving.
Ryan chuckled slightly.
(Timeskip because the author is a lazy piece of crap)
Ryan ran to catch up with Shane.
"So.. What are we gonna do now?"
"Oh, well, I was gonna go train. You know. Slice and dice with meh dagger. But you can come along. I guess it'd be best for you to practice so you don't die if you get in a fight"
Ryan chuckled. They soon came across a door. Shane opened it. It was a training area.
The training area was very large, very spacious. There had to be at least twenty people inside, not counting the two gaurds placed at the doors. One was practicing their magic, few were practicing their physical skills while the majority of them were practicing their swordsman ship.
Ryan was amazed and looked at one of the demons who was practicing their punches. He walked over to that area and punched the bag they were using. His confident expression was quickly replaced with one of pain as he shook his hand.
The demon looked at him.
"Really?"
Ryan sighed, not turning around.
"Listen, sir. This isn't really my.. Thing"
"Sir!?"
Ryan turned around and choked on his spit. The demon was a she. She pushed her short, jet black hair behind her head as her brown eyes dug into him. Her coffee brown skin glistened as her eyebrows dug into an angry expression.
"I-I-I am s-sorry. I-I didn't know that.. Um", he stammered.
"Shut it, princess. Some of us are actually trying to work", she spat at him.
Ryan nodded stepping back as she continued to punch the bag.
"Uh.. Hi. My name is Ryan. Sorry I'm just.. Trying to be friendly?"
She groaned glaring at him in annoyance.
"And? My name is don't care. And friendly? You've got to be the dumbest demon I've ever met in my entire life. And that's saying something"
Ryan frowned. He looked at the bag and punched it as hard as he could. He let out a yelp as he muttered curses underneath his breath. She groaned walking over to him.
"Come on, princess. You really can't punch it?"
"As I said.. Not my thing", he said, smiling nervously.
She smirked. She held up her two hands. Ryan raised an eyebrow.
"Oh sweet mother of crackers. You're supposed to hit me. Or my hands. Then I'll see if you're actually as weak as you seem"
"Oh. Uh, alright then!"
Ryan got himself ready and punched her hand over and over again.
"Horrible. Terrible. Come on, are you a child or a man!"
He got a bit angry and tried to tackle her. She moved out of the way and turned the tables on him. She pinned him to the floor in a matter of seconds, twisting his arm behind his back.
"Ow! Ow! Uncle! Uncle!"
"Is that all you got, princess?" she scoffed.
"Hey, hey, come on. Leave the little guy alone. You wanna pick on someone your own size, Amanda?"
She looked over at who said that only to see Shane holding his dagger in his hand. Ryan waved hi to him like everything was fine. Amanda let him go and stood up.
"So.. I'm guessing your his new pet. That's why he came over here, eh?"
"I'd shut your mouth if I were you."
"Oh, sorry, señor. Didn't know bigfoot had feelings"
"Amanda, I really don't have time for your shit right now, okay?"
Amanda smirked, circling around him. Ryan watched, anxious as to what might happen.
"Really? And you're busy doing what, exactly? Going around. Scaring mortals? Hah!"
"Amanda..", said Shane, gripping his dagger tightly.
"Come at me, sasquatch!"
Shane rolled his eyes as he darted towards Amanda. Her eyes shot open as she quickly moved out of the way. Shane easily turned, slicing at her arm. She growled, moving backwards whilst holding her now bleeding arm.
She opened her hand, mist swirling around it. The mist formed into a sword. Those inside had noticed this fight and were gathering around the two.
"To make this a fair fight, eh, Madej?" she said, a wicked grin splitting across her face.
Shane only laughed, which merely angered her more as she sped towards him. He didn't move as she came closer and slower. Ryan's eyes darted back and forth, looking at Amanda and Shane. Why wasn't he moving!?
Just as Amanda was about to come in contact, Shane slowly stepped to one side. She looked at him, eyes wide with shock. He looked back, a smirk appearing on his face as he grabbed her arm and threw her onto the ground.
He twisted it until a cracking sound was made. Amanda yelled and screamed in pain, tears running down her cheek. The crowd went wild, cheering and laughing. Ryan was paralyzed in fear.
He let her go, giving her a chance to move onto her side. He stepped on her chest as a sign of dominance. She gasped for air as she tried to move his foot. An evil grin spread across his face.
Shane grabbed her leg and twisted it, making her move onto her stomach. He grabbed her wings, making her gasp. He began to pull, hard. Painful screams and curses came out from her mouth as her wings began to tear.
With one final pull, her wings were ripped right off. She collapsed, coughing. She had screamed so much, her throat was raw. Shane looked at the wings in disgust and threw them onto the ground.
The crowd cheered, for their king had won. Ryan was horrified and shaking. He had just watched Shane do that. The smirk on his face made it clear he enjoyed it. Amanda looked at Shane, narrowing her eyes as she breathed heavily.
"You're a monster..", she said in between breaths.
She got up slowly, blood dripping from her mouth, arm, and where her wings had once been. She looked over at Ryan, a small grin appearing on her face.
"Good luck. Hopefully you last longer than his other pets.."
She turned around and began to walk away. Shane got a cold feeling in his stomach. He'd completely forgotten that Ryan had watched. The crowd cheered loudly as they gathered around Shane. They picked him up, with cheers of, " Our king won! Our king won!"
Shane looked over at Ryan, who still had the same horrified expression. He began to walk backwards before running out. Shane got down and ran after him.
"Ryan! Ryan, come on! It was just practice!"
Ryan ignored him and continued to run until he went inside a room, shutting the door. He heard Shane run past him, shouting his name. He let out a sigh of relief but it was soon replaced with a gasp as he felt something grab his hand and pressed him against the wall.
"What the fuck!?"
"Shut up. Who the hell are you?" said a low, gruff voice.
"M-my name's Ryan! Who are you!? What do you want!?"
He was let go and a light was turned on. A demon sat down in a stool, sharpening a knife. His dark eyes stared at Ryan. Ryan felt fear build up inside him as he looked into the man's eyes. His eyes were filled with anger and coldness.
"Not important. Now give me a few good reasons as to why I shouldn't kill you."
