Ryan put his hand to his head, his heart beating quickly.
"Oh.. My God. I.. I'm in hell."
"Uh, yeah! Did you just notice?"
Ryan looked at him.
"It's not funny! How would you feel if you were in heaven!"
"Blessed"
Ryan couldn't help but chuckle.
"Now, if you don't want to die pretend as though you're a spirit I have just captured, ok?"
"Yeah. Because that's easy. Pretend to be a spirit? Yeah, of course!"
"Ha-ha. Very funny, Ryan"
Ryan shook his head, looking upon the huge building.
"So.. How exactly do spirit's uh.. Look? When they are coming in here..?"
Shane snapped his fingers. Ryan's hands were suddenly chained together in wrist shackles. The cross around his neck was replaced with the same shackle that appeared around his neck with a little chain coming out of it. His priest robe was gone and replaced with a more dashing look.
He was wearing a black coat under a white shirt with black pants and a belt. His black hair, which was a bit messy from the trip, was now perfectly done. The little bags he had under his eyes were now a tad bit gone.
"Perfect~", Shane said, a mischievous smirk appearing into his face.
"What?" said Ryan, turning his attention from the chains to Shane.
He cleared his throat.
"Nothing. I just said it looks prefect! You look like a spirit of the damned!"
"Uh.. Thanks?" said Ryan.
"Don't mention it. Now let's go!"
Shane grabbed one of the chains that where on Ryan and pulled him forward as he began to walk. Ryan quickly followed. They soon came across the Gaurds which looked fierce and menacing.
Shane didn't even have to say a single word. All he did was narrow his eyes at the gaurds. The gaurds quickly got out of the way and opened the doors for them. Shane walked inside, pulling Ryan. The gate could be heard slamming shut.
Shane walked over to the doors, opening it and walked inside, Ryan following. Ryan's eyed widened as he saw what layed inside the huge building. There were many people inside, simply talking or fighting. Ryan knew they weren't mortal or human. They were demons.
It was pretty obvious with their red horns, their tails and their wings. Some were exchanging daggers or other types of weapons while others just continued to talk. One of the demons quickly elbowed his friend and frantically motioned to Shane. The two quickly dissappeared, turning into mist.
Ryan wondered why they suddenly left. Could they sense his presence as a mortal? Oh God could they do that?
"Hey, Ryan.."
Ryan turned to him.
"Yeah?"
"How do you like hell? Is it as bad as your priest friends say it is?"
Ryan narrowed his eyes at him.
"Well.. For now all I've seen is demons so yes. It is bad."
"Well, you better watch out. Cuz, they can smell fear", said Shane, hunching up his shoulders and making a claw like gesture with his hands.
Ryan laughed.
(a/n: Every time I put something like they laughed or chuckled.. That's a wheeze-)
"Shut up, Shane", he said, following Shane into a room.
Around him, he could hear demons whispering, growling and chuckling at him. Ryan grew more afraid by the second. Shane looked over at him and smirked. He gently punched his arm.
"Oh, calm down. They won't do much. As long as you don't anger them like the wimps they are!"
Ryan quickly looked at him, shushing him, eyes wide.
"Shut up! They might hear!"
"Oh, what do I care? They can't do shit to me!" he said, his smirk growing wider.
"Yeah, but they can do something to me!" Ryan whisper-yelled.
Shane laughed, rolling his eyes. They both finally appeared in front of a large door. Ryan gulped. He hoped Shane wouldn't have to cut himself again otherwise he'd probably throw up.
Shane just opened the doors and walked into the room, Darth Vader style. He went on to doing little dances along the way towards a throne. Ryan laughed at him.
"You're an idiot! And.. Where are we?"
Shane stopped in the middle of his little dance.
"Oh.. Throne room sort of. It's a big room where advisors, board of goveners, uh.. Judges, and, uh, important demons show up. The stronger more powerful ones. You know? Like Sallie and uh.. Goatman!" he said before going over to the throne and plopping down on it.
Ryan chuckled.
"Whatever you say, big guy.. So.. Why am I here exactly?"
Shane quickly got up, walking over to him. He then began to circle around him, looking at him. Ryan followed his move, unsure of what his intentions were. Shane narrowed his eyes at him.
"Don't move. Please"
Ryan stood still. A smirk appeared on Shane's face as he continued to circle him.
"Hm.. Quickly followed my command.. That'll be useful later..", he thought.
Ryan began to get nervous. He didn't know what Shane was doing. Was he gonna kill him? Oh God could he? Of course he could he's a demon.
"Alright!" said Shane, beginning to walk away.
"Oh, yeah. Almost forgot"
He snapped his fingers. The chains on Ryan were gone. Ryan let out a sigh of relief.
"Thank God. That stuff was staring to hurt like a bitch"
Shane laughed.
"A priest cursing.. Didn't think you had it in you"
Ryan scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"Shut up, Shane."
"Okay, okay. Come on. We got places to go! Stuff to do! Things to see!" the demon said, walking through a door.
Ryan quickly followed. He walked inside, not closing the door behind him and was greeted with a completely dark room. His eyes grew wide as he heard the door shut behind him. He couldn't see anything. He felt something brush against his leg, making him flinch.
He felt low breathing upon his neck and a low snarl in his ear. Ryan quickly jumped backwards, screaming. A single light above him came on as he bumped into something. He quickly whirled around to see Shane, looming over him.
Ryan let out a weird startled sound. Shane laughed. Ryan narrowed his eyes at him, breathing heavily.
"Don't do that, you asshole! God, I'll kill you!" he yelled, looking up at him.
"Don't take this personally but I feel like I'm being threatened by a cupcake"
"Shut up, Shane.. Where are we?"
Shane snapped his fingers. More lights came on, revealing rows and rows of weapons. There were daggers, swords, bows, crossbows anything you could think of!
"Uh.. Why are we here?"
"To get you a weapon! A-duh. So what kind of guy are ya? Dagger? Sword? Bow? Just punches? Uh.. Stick?
" Stick? Well, what kind of guy are you?"
" Well, I personally do like swords but daggers. Ooh, boy! Love em! I remember being summoned by this weird dude. Yeah, really weird, always smiling. Had blonde hair and was white. Like, skin color and his outfit. Took my dagger, that asshole. But I got it back. Think he said he needed it for some camp. Think his name was.. Uh.. Daron? Dan? Oh, it was Daniel! Yeah.. I think he was a cultist "
" A.. Cultist.. Alright then! I've had about enough of this I'm going home now ", said Ryan, beginning to walk away.
Shane sighed.
" Guess I gotta kill you know. Sucks you were kinda amusing too"
Ryan turned around, a huge grin on his face and walked over to a dagger. He picked it up, examining it.
"Uh.. This one?"
"Hm..", said Shane as he walked over to it.
He held it in his hands. He muttered something under his breath and a small ghost appeared in the handle. It was a smiling ghost. Ryan looked at him and scoffed.
"Seriously?"
"Yup! Now it's perfect!"
Ryan chuckled.
"Alright.. Can we get out now?"
"Oh, yeah! Of course! You tired?"
"Uh.. Sort of? I mean I did travel to hell today so.."
Shane chuckled as he and Ryan went outside. The two didn't speak as Shane led Ryan to a room. It was an average guest room. It had a bathroom next to it. A bed was inside, it's dark sheets nicely made.
A bedside drawer was to the right of the bed and in front of it was a closet. It probably had nothing in it. Ryan walked inside looking at it. Shane was behind him. He then only had realized how small Ryan was compared to him.
The thought of Ryan trying to grab something from him as he held it up was funny to him. Apparently he had chuckled at the thought because Ryan looked at him and asked,
"What's so funny?"
"Oh, just a thought.", said Shane.
Ryan sat down on the bed, looking at Shane. He patted the seat next to him, implying he wanted Shane to sit next to him. Shane didn't realize this until a few seconds later when he closed the door and sat down next to the mortal.
Ryan took a deep breath and exhaled. Shane stared at him. Ryan closed his eyes, trying to rest his head but struggling. Shane noticed and with a tad bit of hesitation, he put his hand on Ryan's cheek and pulled him close, making him rest his head on his shoulder.
Ryan was surprised by this but smiled, now resting his shoulders as well. Shane looked down at his face, looking at every small detail. The way his lips curved into a smile, the way his eyes looked so peacefully as he rested them. Then there was his neck.
Shane resisted the urge to pin him down and bite his neck there but it was so difficult to resist. His neck was out in the open; exposed.
But, still, he resisted. Shane slowly put his arm around the smaller man and brought him even closer. He rested his head atop of Ryan's, who laughed slightly as he did so.
"Hey, Shane.."
"Mm?"
"Remember a few weeks ago when the dove flew into priest Ashton?"
"Oh, uh.. The guy that looked like Thomas Edison?"
"Yeah. Good times..", he said, laughing.
Shane chuckled but then thought about something.
"They blamed you for that, didn't they..?"
Ryan sighed.
"Yeah. They blame me for almost everything that happens, even if it's not my fault. But that's okay, I guess. As long as I'm a part of the group!"
"No. It's not okay. You don't deserve to be treated that way.", said Shane, positioning himself to look at Ryan straight into those dark brown eyes of his.
"Shane.. They've always treated me that way. Yeah, it sucks but.. I'm a part of the group! So.. I guess that's good."
Shane sighed.
"If I ever get the chance, I'll kill em"
Ryan laughed slightly, hoping he was joking. The two say there in silence for about five minutes, staring at each other in the eyes. Hesitant, at first, Shane slowly put his hand on the mortal's cheek.
Ryan felt his cheeks begin to heat up as he felt the older man's hand up against his cheek. He went to say something but could not make any words. So he simply sat there, staring into the demon's eyes.
Shane slipped a hand behind him and pulled him closer. Their bodies were close to touching at this point. He moved his hand from his cheek to his chin.
"Shane.. What are you.."
"Shh.. Not a word.."
And with that, Shane brought Ryan's lips to his, locking them in a passionate kiss. A slow but steady kiss; One Ryan will never forget. Their lips moves together as waves against the ocean. (a/n: I just choked on my spit while writing that because I laughed-)
Shane finally pulled away, looking down at him, while Ryan looked up at him. Tears had formed in the corners of his eyes, both from happiness and sadness.
"We should get to bed..", said Shane, breaking the silence
"That's all you have to say after that!?"
Shane chuckled.
"The best conversations can be silent, Ryan.."
Shane got up and began to take off his flannel as Ryan watched, his jaw dropping.
"I know you're staringstaring. "
Ryan quickly looked away, taking off his shirt and getting into bed, Shane following him.
Ryan bunched up, a small grin on his face. Shane looked at him and laughed. The sight was both hilarious and adorable.
"Welp, goodnight bud!"
"Night, Shane.."
Shane turned around and fell asleep almost immediately. Ryan couldn't sleep for a while. He looked over at the sleeping man beside him and decided to do something he'd never thought he'd do.
He wrapped his arms around him, pulling him close. Shane's eyes fluttered open as he looked over at him.
"What's wrong?" he asked sleepily.
"I.. I can't sleep and this room is creepy"
Shane chuckled slightly as he turned around, wrapping his arms around the smaller man, pulling him close. Ryan let out a small gasp as he felt himself press up against Shane's body. The demon put his head up above Ryan's, going back to sleep.
Ryan chuckled slightly before burrowing his head into his chest, falling asleep. The warmth from Shane's arms was enough to help him fall asleep. However, one thing still lurked in the corner of his mind; How could a priest learn to love a demon? Was it even possible? It was practically forbidden. A priest can't love a demon... Or can they?
