Shane straightened himself and pushed his hair back. Ryan took a deep breath, trying to find words on how to say this.
"I had a nightmare. Shut up. Stop laughing. This is serious. He said that I would belong to him soon. And personally I don't want to belong to anyone. He knows who I am. And what I've done"
"Pfft. What could you have done? Taken more than one free sample? Please!"
Shane chuckled before looking back at Ryan. He almost choked. Ryan was giving him the same look as before but this one was more sinister and dark. Shane cleared his throat before resting his chin on his arm.
" Sorry. Go on"
"Shane, if I get killed for something YOU did I promise you I will make you pay from the grave!!"
"Oh, what are you gonna do? Open doors and move my toothpaste from the counter?"
Ryan groaned before rubbing his eyes.
"Oh my God I'm talking to a moron"
"And I'm talking to an angry elf. Now go on, my good man!"
Shane chuckled. Ryan just rolled his eyes.
"Alright, continue. What'd he look like?"
"He had hair like mine but just a tad longer. His eyes were golden and his horns were like yours but bigger"
"Excuse me-"
"And a lot more intimidating"
Shane stood up looking at his horns and poking at them.
"They are not small! Or not threatening! Are they?"
Ryan raised an eyebrow before smiling.
"Well-"
"Oh come on! Who cares. Just keep talkin"
Shane sat back down, still looking at his horns and huffing from time to time. Ryan continued, not really giving a shit.
"He said that I didn't belong to him but that I would soon"
Shane looked up, a more serious look on his face. His eyes narrowed and were looking around.
"I don't know if I should ask this but.. What did he say his name was?"
Ryan looked down and took a deep breath.
"Sebastian. His name was Sebastian. At least that's what he told me"
Shane's eyes widened slightly. He growled before standing up. He started to pace.
"Oh for the love of Lucifer. I thought-I really thought- Oh God why now of all time!?"
Ryan stood up, scared now. But then again when is he not scared. He's in the presence of a demon for God's sake. Or for Satan's sake? Who cares. Onto the story.
Shane began mumbling to himself, low enough for Ryan to hear but not loud enough to make out the words. Shane narrowed his dark eyes while his right eye began to twitch. He pushed his hair back, trying to think. Ryan just kinda sat there, not really knowing what to make of the situation.
Shane finally looked back at Ryan, taking a deep breath before doing so. Ryan kinda shrugged.
"Okay. So this guy may or not want to kill me because I uh.. Killed him. On accident! Now listen to me. Don't make that face. I can explain"
"HOW THE FUCK DO YOU KILL SOMEONE ON ACCIDENT!?!" shrieked Ryan.
"Yeah so it might've not been an accident. And he may want to ruin my life because I ruined his and now he's back and might want to do as much harm to me and anyone around me as possible which might include you"
Ryan's eye twitched as if he'd just heard the most dumbest story ever like that of a hotdog or magical corn and some other made up fruit. Maybe throw in a racoon.
"I mean I said sorry so-"
"SORRY?? I DONT THINK SAYING SORRY TO SOMEONE IS GONNA MAKE THINGS BETTER, SHANE!"
Ryan plopped down and groaned.
"Why do you do these things?! Always getting into trouble!! I've known you for a good amount of time and now that I've actually spent some time with you, you go on and almost get me killed!! TWICE!"
Shane smiled nervously and shrugged his shoulders.
"I mean hey! At least there's no ghosts here. I think. I mean this is hell so there might be some like tormented souls"
"Well there's gonna be one more!"
Shane raised an eyebrow and turned around to see Ryan jump out the window. Shane screamed before jumping after him. Unfortunately, Ryan had climbed onto a ledge and got a front row seat on watching Shane falling onto the floor with a loud splat.
However, Shane was a demon and had wings. Ryan had forgotten about this.
Ryan screeched before trying to climb inside. He fell. Thankfully, Shane caught the small man. Ryan hung on tightly, just screaming. Shane laughed.
"Calm down! You're fine!"
"NO IM NOT IM SO HIGH OFF THE GROUND PUT ME DOWN!! PUT ME DOWN!"
Shane then let go of him, holding him by his leg. Ryan screamed louder.
"HOLY SHIT! PICK ME UP! PICK ME UP!"
"Make up your mind!"
Ryan was frantically waving his arms, doing a fine impression of an angry chicken. Shane then flipped him around and carried him bridal style. Ryan narrowed his eyes at him, his heart pounding. He wrapped his arms around him, scared shitless.
"Oh my God. Don't do that. Don't ever fucking do that. You piece of shit. Oh my God."
"How can such a tiny man hold so many curses? Being a priest too!"
He flew back inside of the room. In less than a second Ryan pushed him into the window and shut the window, making his wings get caught. Shane yelled the first word that came to his mind.
"Ow!"
Ryan, not knowing he'd get this far, reached into Shane's coat and pulled out a gun.
"Wow I didn't even know that was there. But! Hah! Now, tell me everything about Sebastian!"
"Was this really necessary?!"
"Yes!!"
Shane groaned before closing his eyes. His wings suddenly began to evaporate. Ryan's eyes winded, dropping the gun like the butterfingers he is. Shane stood up, rubbing his back as best as he could.
"Oh right. In case of an emergency, we can actually make them go away into like this tattoo thing on our back it's pretty cool."
Ryan fainted. Shane held back the urge to laugh because he realized that this was serious. He walked two steps before the door swung open. A little girl stood in the doorway. Shane began to mouth " What the fuck " but only got to " What the" before the little girl literally turned into a horrific, deformed demon, grabbing Ryan by his arm and hauling ass out the door.
Shane stood there for five seconds in complete awe, shock, and horror before yelling the first word that came to his mind.
"SHIT!"
He sprinted after her, running as fast as he could. His wings were gone, making him go faster because usually they'd slow him down. Unfortunately, two other demons were part of the play. They raced in front of him, grabbing each other by the tail, and straightening forward, forming a rope like "trap" with their tails.
Shane saw this and thought I'm not stupid enough to fall for tha-
And then he tripped and fell face-forward. The demons scuttled away, howling with laughter. He got up but to his surprise, those rascals had managed to the him up. He heard a third little bit of laughter. There had been three of them.
Shane growled and ripped the rope to shreds. The laughter stopped. It soon became shrieks of terror as the demon king sped past them, following the demon that took Ryans' scent.
Meanwhile, Ryan was screaming and yelling as loud as he could. He shrieked things like "OH GOD LET ME GO!!" and "SHANE!! SHANE HELP!!" and we couldn't forget "AAAAAAAAAH"
Finally, after what seemed to be an eternity of dragging, she threw him into a dark room. She shut the door and spoke.
"My master has questions for you. Answer them and you'll live. Lie, and you and your boyfriend will die"
Her voice was smooth, and soft, delicate almost. It was soothing and welcoming. However, her voice was the exact opposite of her appearance. Her horns were jagged and twisted, sharp at any and all edges. Her teeth were so large, she couldn't close her mouth all the way, drool slowly dripping down beneath her.
Her body, contorted and twisted in various different ways he couldn't figure out what was an arm or a leg. Her wings were large and feathery, jet black and dripping black stuff. Then there were her eyes. Her eyes were pitch black with a white pupil. Even if they were covered by her horrible horns, he could still make them out.
She quickly retreated into the darkness. Ryan realized what she'd said.
"I'm not his boyfriend!"
"I'd beg to differ."
Ryan stood still. He recognized that voice. He slowly turned around and there he was. Sebastian. He wore a stripped shirt with a white vest over it, topped off with a little bow tie. He wore dark, beige pants with dark dance shoes, as if he could dance.
His hair was the same as his; jet black and a tad bit messy but the hot kinda messy ya know? You know you know. His hair was also longer and a tad bit slicked back.
"Sebastian.."
"Glad to see you remembered my name. Not many people do. However, most of said people are dead so"
He began to walk towards him. Ryan just stood there. Sebastian smirked, stopping.
"Not even gonna try to escape? My my, you just keep getting better and better."
Ryan narrowed his eyes at him.
"What do you want."
"I'm sure Shane has already told you that I wish to bring him to an end and cause him as much pain as possible. Even if it means harming and even killing those who care for him."
Ryan lost all of his confidence, gulping. He shifted slightly.
"I see you're spending quite a bit of time with him. Should we expect a happy announcement by the end of the week?"
Ryan growled slightly.
"Oh, shut up. You're not a dog are you? Of course that would mean that you'd be on a leash."
The demon chuckled.
"Okay, I'm serious. What the hell do you want?! I'm not a part of this stupid game!"
"As a matter of a fact, you are. Ryan, you became a part of the game as soon as you met Shane. It didn't matter. Besides, the fact that you were responsible for the tragedy that happened that night just makes things so much better!"
Ryan looked down, his shoulders slumping. Sebastian stopped, looking directly at him, a sinister grin forming.
" Wait.. He doesn't know? "
Ryan didn't respond. Sebastian let out a howl of laughter. It sent chills down his spine.
" Oh wow! I knew you two were dumb but I didn't think this dumb! I suppose little Ryan Bergara isn't as sweet and innocent as he seems, now, is he? "
" Hey! It- It wasn't my fault! I-I never wanted that to happen!"
He chuckled, pushing his hair behind him. Ryan felt dizzy. He tried to get himself together but he stumbled to the floor.
" Wha..? What the.. Hell..? "
Sebastian looked at him.
" Ah, right. The demon that brought you here must've sent poison within your veins. Her claws are filled with it."
Ryan looked up at him, eyes wide with fear.
"What!? Am I going to die?!"
He groaned with pain. His vision blurred and he began to pass out. Sebastian walked over to him, looking down at him. He got out a sword, pointing it at him.
"Now, do as I say. Hand me your little necklace with the cross. Now. Give it to me."
Ryan was slowly passing out, groaning. He still had some common sense within him. He shook his head. Sebastian rolled his eyes, sighing. His sword turned into a little whip. He hit Ryan. Ryan yelped but still didn't hand over the necklace. He tried to sit up.
"Oh, no, no, no, no, noo"
Sebastian pinned him down. Ryan struggled, out of breath and sweating. Sebastian reached into his shirt and grabbed out the necklace. Ryan tried to protest. Nothing but groans came out.
"Thank you, Mr Bergara. You've been very helpful."
Ryan tried to sit up again. Sebastian smiled, his whip turning back into the sword he had gotten out. He slowly pressed it against his cheeks.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Look at the mess you've gotten yourself in, Ryan. Oh, no, don't get up. You're much too tired for that."
Ryan groaned, his head hitting the ground. Just then, the door swung open. Shane stood in the doorway. He looked at Ryan then at Sebastian, the necklace still in his hands.
" What the hell did you do!? " he yelled, beginning to run towards him.
Sebastian simply sunk into the darkness, laughing.
"I suggest you help him. And make sure he doesn't choke on his own blood and vomit. It would make for a very ugly vessel", his voice echoing as he left.
Shane quickly ran over to Ryan. He was motionless, his eyes closed. Shane began to panic. He quickly grabbed him, carrying him over his shoulder. He sank into the shadows and appeared inside a familiar closet.
Edgar was there. He looked up at him, raising an eyebrow. He looked over at Ryan eyes widening. Shane was on the verge of tears.
"Listen, I know what I did was wrong but you have to help me. Please. Edgar, I'm begging you."
"You didn't have to ask. What happened?"
Shane put him down atop some boxes. Edgar got our a table, looking at Shane like wtf.
"Oh. We have a table?"
"Just put him on there."
Shane did as he was told. Edgar examined his wounds and sighed.
"Well? What is it?"
"I'm afraid he's at deaths doorway. If we don't do something now, he'll die."
(a/n: sorry I couldn't upload this earlier. I went to go watch Infinity War and cried my ass off. Literally. It's gone. I ended the drought everywhere. The Sahara desert is now an ocean. That's how much I cried.)
