The day dragged on and you were finally at the game. Skylar was probably with the team but you were at your seat waiting for warm ups. 5 minutes later Skylar sat with you.
"Hey." You said to Skylar.
"Hey. Mitch was asking about you I told him you just wanted time for yourself."
"Okay. I'll probably text him after the game."
When warm ups you got happy. You felt like you were more excited for warm ups then the actual game. After warm ups, Skylar got the both of you food. At the end of the period, the leafs were up by one.
"We better win."
"Hopefully we do."
The second period started and Skylar was just talking about Brown.
"SKYLAR MITCH SCORED." You yelled while jumping up.
Skylar looked at you while smiling.
"I've never felt so happy."
"Addison you love him so much."
After the second period, you look at your phone for the first time all night and saw you had a text from Mitch before the game started.
Mitch.
After the game let's watch the stars together. We only have an hour until I have to say goodbye.
Addison.
Yea it's a plan.
"Hey, Sky I'm going to see Mitch for an hour after the game."
"Okay don't die on me."
By the end of the game the leafs won 3-1. You and Skylar walked back to the hotel. Suddenly you heard a knock on the door and knew who it was. When you opened the door it was Mitch.
"Are you ready?" Mitch asked.
"Yea."
Before you left you said bye to Skylar.
"You guys did great tonight."
"Thank you. You look good tonight."
You were wearing such a basic outfit it was his jersey and pants. You also had a sweater just in case you were still cold.
"My outfit is basic just like me."
Mitch laughed a bit which made you smile a bit.
"I'm going to miss you."
"Me too. I can't travel anymore tho.
"It's okay. Just a week and I'll be back."
"Yea."
You and Mitch talked until he had to go. When you hugged him you cried a bit. Walking back to the hotel felt like you had something heavy in your chest.
"Hey Sky."
"Hey. I know you miss him but just think one week and he'll be back."
"True."
"Well let's sleep before the long travel day."
