Let Me Fix You (Hayes Grier)

Chapter 18

Lauren's POV

The first day of MagCon was a success.
I didn't throw up on stage for my first time performing in front of an enormous crowd so that's a plus. Afterwards we all went back to our rooms to get our pjs on and we went back into Taylor and Shawn's room. Mahogany and I walked into a room with 10 shirtless guys. I walked up to Hayes and jumped on his back because he was turned away from he looking at his phone. As soon as I jumped on his he screamed and said
"God damn it Lauren you scared the fuck out of me, and you made me type random letters to my mom." I just laughed and walked hugged Taylor. I know your probably thinking why would hug Taylor if your dating Hayes? Well before I lived in NY I lived in Indiana 3 houses away from Taylor. Him and Matt are my best friends and sadly they are both older than me. Matt is more like my brother and Taylor and I are just really close.

Hayes didn't get mad because he already knew that I tell Taylor everything. And I mean everything. He knows Tay is my best friend so he doesn't really care if I hug him. And if he does he hides it really well.

Once we all started to settle down we decided to watch a scary movie. Greaatt. During the movie I sat next to Tay and Hayes and beside Hayes was Aaron. All four of us squeezed onto the bed and all the other guys were on either Shawn's bed or the floor.
We decided to watch the conjuring and half way through the movie I fell asleep on Hayes' shoulder and he also fell asleep. I woke up a while later to hearing the clicking if cameras. I opened my eyes and Nash, Cameron, Aaron, The Jack, and Taylor were all taking pictures of Hayes and I cuddled up together. I sat up and everyone went back to where they were acting like they weren't just taking pictures of Hayes and I sleep. I grabbed my phone off the nightstand and I had a ton of twitter notifications from the boys. They all said the same thing 'The couple asleep in each others arms after a long day' and then the picture of us sleeping. I woke up Hayes so he could see the picture after he saw it he saved it to his phone and set it as his background.

After everyone was once again woken up we all started playing truth or dare of course suggested by Nash. Truth or dare is literally his favorite game.
We all sat in a huge circle and started to play. I sat next to Tay and Hayes, again.
"First up is J" Nash said
(J is Jack Johnson and G is Jack Gilinsky)

"Dare all the way"

"I dare you to.... Go up to a random door in your boxers and when the open up ask to use their bathroom."

As told J ran to a random room in his boxers and asked to use their bathroom.

"Taylor your u-" J began but was cut off by a banging on the door. I got up to get it. I looked through the peep whole thinking it might be Bart to tell us to quiet down because people might be sleeping but I was a large man I didn't recognize. I looked back and Tay have me the signal to open it.
As I opened the door I began to say
"Uh sorry but our manager isn't here right now but maybe you can come back tomorrow when he's here." I was about to close the door when he grabbed my arm and pulled me into the hall. Everyone ran up to the door and the man held me in tight grip in the middle of the hall. Hayes began to step forward towards the guy but he pulled something hard out of his jacket and put it to my head.

I closed my eyes tight trying to tell myself it was just a dream, but it wasn't it was real there was a crazy man holding on to me putting a gun to my head. I started to cry and he began to speak.
"If one of you don't give me all the money in that hotel room I pull the trigger." his voice was low and raspy. I was scared to death. Hayes started to cry also. Matt, Taylor and Nash looked shocked. G stepped forward and pulled out his wallet as if he were going to give it to the man. I wasn't going to let him just give this guy in money, I had to do something. Before I could even second guess what I was about to do I kicked me right leg up as hard and high as I could and kicked the mans arm forcing his hand away from my head.
Unfortunately, he still managed to pull the trigger only the bullet didn't hit me. The bullet hit Taylor in his side. I saw his fall to the floor and all the guys started to help him. The guy still had a tight grip on he and started to pull me a certain way.

I didn't know what to do so I stepped on his foot really hard, then elbowed him in his stomach once he bent over I elbowed him in the nose causing him to bleed. A lot of people must have heard the gunshot because people were out if their hotel rooms looking at us. About 5 minutes later the police showed up and took the man away in handcuffs. The ambulance also came. I almost forgot about Taylor. I rushed over to his side and he was bleeding uncontrollably.

"Oh my god Taylor this is all my f-fault." I cried

He looked up at me and grabbed my hand. The paramedics took Taylor away in a stretcher and I grabbed Cam and rushed to the car with everyone following behind me.

Once we were at the hospital I haven't stopped crying I was resting my head on Hayes' shoulder when the doctor came out. I ran up to him and asked him how Tay is.

"Well he is going to be fine just needs to rest. The bullet missed the bone so he just needed a couple stitches and he should be able to leave tomorrow. Only family can go see him though."

I motioned for everyone to come over and walked back up to the doctor. "We are all family." I said
