Chapter 9

Lauren's POV

Since it's been a week of me being here and i now actually have friends to hang out with i decided even though it is a Sunday, i will go to the mall and get new clothes for school in a couple weeks.

I texted Gianna and Nicole to see if they wanted to go shopping with me and they both had responded yes so we shall meet at the mall in approximately 30 minutes.

That being said i have still yet to get ready and tell my mom she needs to drive me there. I quickly throw my hair up into a bun and put on a bandanna as a headband with some jeans and a random college tee shirt i found in my drawer. It said "Princeton Women's Soccer Club" with Princeton's mascot on it and the year the school was discovered under it.

I threw on some converse and ran down stairs to tell my mom she needed to drive me to the mall because i'm meeting some friends.

As we got in the car i pulled out my phone and texted G and Nic i was on my way and they said they were already there at the food court waiting for me. I may have taken a little long to put on my mascara and eyebrows. Hey, eyebrows are not to be rushed- they take a long time if you want them to look good.

Once i got there we went shopping in a bunch of random stores and tried on tons of clothes. I lost count on how many shirts i tried on after 34. The day was filled with laughs and we were so interested in looking at clothes none of us even checked our phones the whole day.

Until we were ready to leave and we texted our parents and i told my mom G's dad was going to drive us home. When i got home i brought all my bags up to my room but was surprised when i opened my door to see Hayes sitting on the couch opposite my bed.

"Hey what are you doing here." I asked him when i saw.

"You didn't answer your phone all day, i came over to make sure everything was okay. Maria said you were out with G and Nic and let me stay up here till you got back. Which leads us to now." He said looking at his hands

"Here i am, your here now wanna watch a movie and hang out?" i asked sitting next to him on the couch

"Not really in a movie mood, what'd you get at the mall?" he asked

"Just clothes for school, wanna see? i got a lot of stuff." i said bringing all the bags and him over to my bed to show him everything.

I layer everything out in an organized manner so he can look at everything.

"Okay so this is tee shirts, long sleeves, jeans, leggings and one pair of overalls. Oh i also got new sneakers."

"Holy shit how much did all this cost you, this is a lot of clothes, Laur." He said looking at the clothes covering my bed.

"Uhh i don't know, probably like $150 maybe, i wasn't paying attention. Okay now i gotta put these all away, you're welcome to stay and hang around." i look at him giving him a kiss on the cheek before i grab some clothes and start hanging them up.

"Nah that's okay i'll let you do your thing. I gotta get back. I'll see you tomorrow." He says and he comes over to me and turns me around. He leans down and kisses me before i can process it. Fireworks. Just like the first time he kissed me.

After we pulled away he left a kiss on my forehead and left.

That boy is gonna be the death of me.
