Seven Months Later.

"Still want to see them?" Link asked his best friend, walking closely by his side. They were only a few minutes away from their destination, but there was one occasion where Rhett was just not in the right mind, and they had to turn back home. Link didn't want it to be one of those days, but he always made sure to ask. It was never an easy outing, but Link tried his best to make it more bearable for the both of them.

The mild September evening, producing beautiful coloured skies and a comforting warmth in the air soothed Rhett's apprehension, and he smiled. "Yeah, of course. But if I act up in the next seven minutes, jus' drag me straight there, okay?"

A small giggle escaped Link's lips. "I don't know how, but y'gotta deal. I'll have to grab you by the ankles or somethin', and hear you clawing on the concrete from behind."

Rhett approved Link's almost too-serious reply with a light nod, and they carried on their journey in mostly silent contemplation. It had been quite the journey they endured together since the ordeal in the woods, but calm and stability eventually came at the end of it.

"There they are, at the end," Link spoke softly. To his left, Rhett's nerves were getting the better of him. His eyes showed it all, but upon feeling Link's soft hand glide on top of his own, his shoulders relaxed, and his mind satisfyingly cleared. Sharing delicate smiles, they knelt down on the soft grass together.

Rhett had no idea how, but Link spoke as if there was no problem at all. "Hiya Jessie- Nara-, it's Link, and Rhett's come too. It's really pretty out today, lots of purples and blues in the sky."

The tombstone stood as if it was waiting for them to arrive. Their names side by side with a small message from Rhett underneath, silently stared back at the two, as they settled in front of the stone. This was only the third time Rhett had made it all the way, and each time it never got easier.

Rhett carefully placed down the bouquet of assorted white and baby pink daisies he had brought, and watched as Link moved them so they were positioned perfectly central. He wasn't surprised by his actions, and he wasn't going to bother interrupting.

"We picked these today," Link smiled at the brightly wrapped flowers. "The florist chose the nicest ones he had, and gave us the bonus gift wrapping too. He was really nice, and made me think of you, Jessie. Biggest grins ever, don't you think?"

Rhett admired Link's newfound skill of making everything seem so effortless. But he knew he couldn't sit and stay silent the entire time, as Jessie was his wife, and Nara was his girl, and sitting mute would be simply unfair on Link.

"Every day I think of you Jess, and you Nara, baby girl. Every single day. Don't think because I struggle to get 'ere means I don't care, but I wish it wasn't this way, yknow? But thank Link, as he's the one that promises to drag me here if I'm stupid-"

"-Oh Rhett!" Link playfully poked Rhett's arm, cheeks furiously blushing. "Let's talk about something fun. Well, last week, we both went paddle boarding, didn't we! That was so funny, especially when our instructor Zach thought he saw..."

Link spent the following half hour rambling on about recent events in their lives, and Rhett happily left him to it. It was almost insane how fast Link was improving over the weeks, and Rhett could tell his bright smiles was becoming more and more genuine. He could make a story of dropping a milkshake sound like a five-book-long epic saga, and his enthusiasm seemed to be endless.
