I need his scent. I need to run my fingers through his long blonde hair because I miss him.

I can't go without him.

I know I've been acting strange lately. It's only because I didn't know if River had loved me anymore.

River was hard to see through, I couldn't just look at him and know who he was, and I had thought I did something wrong.

I didn't wanna hurt myself. Again. I already made that mistake.

I wasn't being myself around him, because I thought he hated me, and I didn't want to say anything.

He wasn't talking to me, I wasn't talking to him. We had lost each other's hearts and we couldn't find each other. Might as well call us strangers.

I turn into the kitchen only to be met with his eyes.

He sits at the dining table, reading a book.

I wasn't even thinking when I decided to walk in there. I just stood there, staring at him. It was hard to look at him now, but I did anyways.

My heart beat thumping against my chest, and my face pale.

"Are we still together?"

I ask him softly, but loud enough for him to hear.

He puts the book down to look at me.

When his eyes meet mine again, my heart drops.

"I think so...yeah, why?"

I lick my lips. I wanted to say a lot of things. I just didn't know if he'd want to hear.

"Well...uh, we aren't really talking to each other. Is everything okay between us?"

"You tell me. You're the one that's been avoiding me."

I sighed heavily, running my fingers through my hair.

"River, I'm not avoiding you. It's just...well. I don't even know if you still have feelings for me. It's like we don't even know each other anymore..."

His eyes go on the book and then at me.

"I wanted to say the same thing. Do you still love me, Y/n?"

I wince while staring at him. He was my everything, I needed River or unless I was gonna die. I would die lonely and bitter if I didn't have him.

"Of course I love you."

He gets up from the table, walking towards me. My heart thumps louder and louder, as his body gets nearer.

"I love you too...so tell me, what's going on between us?"

So, we both didn't have a clue. We knew something was off, we just didn't know what it was. Why didn't we know each other? Why did we feel forgotten around each other? Maybe we needed to find each other.

"I don't know, Riv."

We stare at each other, as if time has stopped and we're Frozen in place. I kiss his lips, then I continue staring at him, and we share a smile.

I didn't know what was happening in this moment, but I loved it.

I have no idea what this was.
