River stood there in disbelief, though the situation was all to real for him. The fact that after this moment, he wouldn't have another chance to be with you again, broke him.
The tears in your eyes were visible and he knew that this wasn't what you had wanted.
The two of you stood there in front of each other, drenched in sorrow.
