I heard the strumming of a guitar, this time I knew I wasn't crazy. I walked into a room, and there he was. He sat at the edge of the couch, his eyes closed and his fingers tickling the strings of a Flamenco guitar.

My feet softened on the carpet, careful not to disturb him at his peace. I couldn't help but watch him. The state his mind fell into when strumming the instrument, was beautiful. He looked so peaceful.

After the last string, his eyes stared out the window, bringing a shine to his crystal like eyes,

"River," I watched his eyes snap at me quick, his brows raised.

"Where you standing there this whole entire time?" He asked softly,

"Yeah." I nodded. We laughed at the same time. I walked to the couch, stretching out on it, my feet tickling his jean pants,

"That was beautiful. What song was it?" I added, staring at River whilst he adjusted the strings. He shook his head,

"Nothing...I was just playing with the strings." He says quietly. I nodded slowly.

From there on, it was real quiet. My arms crossed over my chest, and River was gazing at the floor. His eyes snapped back into reality, when he finally said,

"Can I sing you a song?" A smile spread on my lips, unintentionally. My body grew warm. I sat up,

"Yeah, okay." I told him. He looked down at the guitar, then began to strum lightly,

"I've got sunshine on a cloudy day.
When it's cold outside I've got the month of May. Well I guess you'd say, what can make me feel this way? My girl, Talkin' 'bout my girl."

Awe. I thought to myself, careful not speak out loud, afraid that I might mess him up. Rivers voice was smooth and light, it was beautiful,

"I've got so much honey the bees envy me. I've got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees. Well I guess you'd say, what can make me feel this way? My girl, Talkin' 'bout my girl."

He ended the strings there, a smile on his lips and a goofy grin on mine. I can't describe the feeling. I felt a bunch of things at once.

"In case, it wasn't clear...I um, I love you (Y/n)." He says. I swallowed, almost ready to cry,

"I love you more."
