A blue eyed boy stared across the bookstore, a spark in his eyes as he looked at a girl with h/c hair and e/c eyes.
She hadn't realized the boy was staring until she looked up from the book and suddenly, locked eyes with this boy.
An awkward yet beautiful smile spread across his face and the girl couldn't help but smile too, as she stared at his blue eyes from across the store.
The boy felt shy, but somehow anxious to approach the girl. He had thought she was beyond stunning, and her smile was so contagious.
The girl had realized how beautiful the boy was as his image stayed in her mind. Once his image was in her mind, she had realized it was permanent and she didn't mind it.
The boy had finally convinced himself to say something to the mysterious girl from across the store. He slowly approached her, his hands behind his back as he bit his lip.
She then noticed the boy coming to her. She looked up as he stood in front of her.
"Hi." The boy's heart had skipped a beat.
"Hi..." She says.
She looked back down at the pages of the book even though it was hard to take her eyes off of his charming ones. She smiled down at the book.
"I seen you staring at me."
A grin spread on his face as the words left her mouth.
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yeah...what's your name?"
She said, staring at him with such brightness in her eyes.
His cheeks had turned red.
"River..." He said confidently.
River...His name was so spiritual, just the word leaving his lips felt soothing.
The girl had said his name over and over in her mind and she couldn't help but smile even more, for the name was so beautiful.
"River? I like that."
"Thanks. What's yours?"
"Y/n."
The two had shared the same laughter, because there was such an awkward connection.
Her laugh was sweet and also contagious. His laugh was soft and pure.
"What book is that?"
"Um, Gone With The Wind."
She tells him, grinning harder.
"I've heard that's a really good book."
He says, cocking an eyebrow.
"Yeah?"
"Yep."
They then laughed some more. The two had felt like they had been talking for forever, but they couldn't leave each other's side. Well, they didn't want to at least.
"Well, uh...River. I gotta go...it was nice talking to you."
Wait. River thought before the words could leave his mouth.
"Wait. I wanna see you again...uh, what's your telephone number?"
He pulled a pen from his back pocket, then running his hand through his hair as he offered it to Y/n.
She smiled warmly, and wrote her digits on his wrist.
"So, we'll talk right?"
She smirked widely, and she hadn't realized how widely she had smirked.
"Yeah, sure. Call me River."
