5 days until his departure.
Aaron said that he wanted to spend the entire week with you. For now, you were waiting for him to come back from his house to officially start your day. I didn't take long for the bell ring, indicating the door had opened. You walked downstairs to see him in the doorway with a duffle bag.
"Hi", he said with a heavy smile.
"Hi", you said shyly.
He was holding something behind his back, so, naturally, you were trying to peek around him to see whatever it was. He pulled out it for you to see, since you were going to find out anyways, a checkered board. You both smirked, knowing this would take a while, considering the fact that you both were very intelligent. He pointed to a booth and you eagerly sat down as he did the same. He set the board down flat, then grabbed the pieces from his bag.
You had black, he had white.
"The pieces that are sacrificed through every game of chess."
5:48 pm
The sound of his King falling over was the sound of a symphony to your ears. "Check-mate", you said happily. Aaron looked down at the piece of wood than back at you. He scoffed for letting you get the best of him. He neatly rolled up his sleeves and put the game away. Afterwards, he got up and stood in front of you. You looked you at him as confused and can be. He only tried not to laugh as he went down to kiss you. He kept going forward and stopping. You held his face in place to look at you directly.
"Sorry, I've just never been beaten at chess before." "Neither have I", you said right before you pecked his lips. "Feel better?" He shook his head and pouted. You sighed and kissed him longer and a bit angrily this time. "Now?" He cocked his head to the side and looked up at the ceiling as if he was thinking hard. He quickly shook his head. You huffed and yanked his face forwards. You kissed him angrily buy sincerely. "That's all", you said as you stood up and walked upstairs.
You ate an apple while picking up some books that were on the floor. As you were, you picked up a book on Indian culture because hey, who doesn't want to know how the Taj Mahal was built? You lit your fireplace and huddled yourself in a ball on the floor. Aaron eventually came up with a book of his own and sat down next to you. You rolled over nonchalantly to lay on his chest. He smiled and wrapped an arm around your waist. You continued reading with a bashful smile playing your face.
" Those lovely laughing eyes have carried my heart to Paradise,
Where, Love, I saw how you hide there, among your ardent fires. O lovely shining eyes that snatched my heart away... This reminds me of you." You looked up and tried not to laugh like an idiot. "How, say – does such sweet power move? I thank you, Love. You care enough to cite Poliziano to me? That's really sweet of you, actually." He kissed your forehead. "That makes two of us out of thirteen million." "And a Revolution", you added.

4 days until his departure.
You decided to give your sore loser an early lunch by the beach. You packed some goodies no one could refuse and a pamphlet by Thomas Paine. It was obvious how badly Aaron wanted to read it, so you went out of your way to buy it for him. You were sitting quietly next to the blanket that was holding your entire meal, while humming to (favorite classical song/any song).
You stopped when a baby seagull flew down next to your loaf of bread. You innocently gave it a crumb. It ate it up and pecked the heel of your shoe as if asking for more. Giggling, you gave a tiny bit more then put the loaf in the basket. Right when the bread leafy the seagull's sight it started to peck your shoe more aggressively. It felt like a nice foot massage, until it made a hole and started pecking your bare toes. "OW! You tiny little bastard!" Your big toe was now pricked and had some blood dripping from it. You squeaked and swatted your handkerchief at it.
