You opened up some cuisine you made yesterday and smelt it. Doesn't even smell like I made it yesterday, it's fine to eat. It don't look bad at all either. You handed a plate of the food to Burr without even asking. "Eat up, it's still good. I'm going to hurry up and go back to Williams' for your book", you said while turning around walking back down the stairs. You walked out of the bakery and locked the door behind you.

You weren't that presentable to be seen out in public, but you sufficed and ignored the dirty looks you got. You looked into a nearby store to see a clock. 1:31, damn I better make this quick then. You began speed walking to the bar instead of trying to walk at a reasonable pace. People dawned at you for starting to run but you really didn't give two shits.

Once you were at the bar and inside, the men gave you weird looks and began to laugh at the fact that you're a woman. The bartender and owner of the bar looked to see what the big deal was from the other side of the counter. When he saw you he immediately ran over to you. He pushed his glasses up and wiped his brow.

"What in God's name are you doing here? And especially in a dress, you know how dumb drunk morons can b-" "Will, a book got left here yesterday evening. It could've been the barstools or at the other end of this place. You think you can help me out here", you interrupted him. You were beginning to get annoyed of the men cat whistling you and saying some other  inappropriate things. Lord, if I had my pistol right about now.

"Yeah I think I have it behind the counter. You want me to look for a name on it or anything like that?", he asked while going to where he said it might be. You followed along watching what all he was doing. He pulled out a box filled with a large variety of items. "Maybe look for 'Burr' or a full name like 'Aaron Burr', anything like that I guess woul-"

"'A. Burr'?"

"What'd you say?", you asked bending your knees down lower to hear him better.

"I found a poetry book labeled 'A.Burr' inside the cover", Williams said while holding the book up. "That's definitely it! Thanks Will, I owe you for this one", you thanked while taking the book in your arms. "You can repay me by never showing up here again in a frock", he said getting up to his feet. "Noted", you said with a salute and dashed out the door.

You left Williams just standing there. He blinked a few times as he went to tend to his customers. He gave a man on the barstools another round. He looked rather...rough. "Ey Williams, you think that dame has a turn for me?", he asked elbowing him in the arm some. "I doubt it, McClain. She's her own self and I think she'll be courted very soon", Williams defended thinking back to the name on the book.

They could be wed. It's clearly not impossible anyways.

"Whooa!", he said laughing with his hands up in defeat. "Why all defensive on her, huh?" "She's just not a whore like all the other women that decide to waste away here", he replied while cleaning an empty class with a cloth. "Whatever you say then", he said while drinking his alcohol.

And just like that she left me alone with a plate of pasta and probably a bruised testicle thanks to Peggy Schuyler. Don't get me wrong, the stuff on this plane tastes fantastic. But a guess I kinda feel bad for just letting her go out and get something that I was foolish enough to forget.
