The next day, Astrid woke up with a start. Silence filled the room, nothing moved, nothing seemed to be wrong. But something was. Astrid looked around her room in worry, then her eyes fell upon her alarm clock beside her bed. Astrid's blurry vision from sleep could only just make out the numbers on its screen. 7:55am...

Astrid sat up in shock as she looked back at her clock as her eyes started to clear. 7:55! Oh no...

"FU*K! I'm sooo late!" Astrid jumped out of bed and ran around the room uncontrollably getting dressed, struggling to get her jeans on and her black sneakers. She was so late! She'd be in detention until she was 50. Miss Havisham never liked anyone being late. Never. Astrid ran downstairs and into the kitchen to quickly grab a bite of breakfast, but was stopped in her tracks when she saw Spitelout in the kitchen. She felt a small mouthful of vomit fill her mouth as she watched the scene before her. Her mother sat on his lap showering him with kisses. Astrid quickly left the room before she could project it out all over them. 'I'll just skip breakfast' Astrid thought as she left the house, slamming the door loudly causing the couple to jump apart and stare at the door.

"What was she still doing here?" Spitelout spat as he felt Freya unfolding herself from his lap. He was so close. But that little girl always seemed to be getting in the way. Divine beauty, more like Divine pain-in-the-arse.

"Hey!" Freya playfully nudged him, "She's still my daughter. But I'll talk to her later..." Spitelout smirked as Freya walked over to the counter in the kitchen. He stood from his chair and hugged her from behind.

"You saw them like that?!" Heather asked in shock as Astrid just sat there staring into space. She seemed to have a weird, wild look in her eyes.

"It was awful, I skipped breakfast because of it!" Astrid said as she hugged her stomach.

"Well, I mean it can't possibly get any worse today?" Elsa joked as the group laughed, but a pair of emerald green eyes watched her as she relented the events of the morning. Miss Havisham hadn't exactly been nice to her when she entered the classroom, but lucky for her, Hiccup arrived at the same time as her and was able to save her from detention.

(Flashback)

"And what time do you call this Miss Astrid?" Miss Havisham scolded as Astrid entered the classroom, trying not to draw too much attention to herself. She had clearly failed miserably.

"Err... Well, I-err...." Astrid stuttered nervously as she attempted to come up with a believable excuse. But she had nothing.

"Sorry we're late Miss, had a bit of a problem this morning!" Hiccup came rushing into the classroom and patted Astrid's shoulder as he stood beside her, confronting Miss Havisham.

"Mr Haddock? Mind explaining why both of you are late?"

"Gladly. I had a bit of a problem this morning with my Dad's car. I asked for Astrid's help in getting it running again as it's quite a complex job. I didn't mean to keep her that long, but when it wouldn't start we both decided to walk to school which takes a long time anyway. I promise it won't happen again, but it wasn't Astrid's fault." Hiccup explained, his hand was still on her shoulder and he felt it tense up beneath him as he spoke.

"Well, that does explain the state you are in now Hiccup? Clean yourself up and both of you..." Miss Havisham pointed at the two of them suspiciously. "Don't let it happen again."

(End Flashback)

Hiccup looked at Astrid cringing on her chair in distress and looked back to Jack.
