Lovino glared at Antonio. Of course, he couldn't see his furious look, but that wasn't the point. Joao was in the house somewhere, probably moving something which he'd have to replace later on, so he couldn't translate his disgusted look for Antonio, and no way was Lovino going to do it for him. He'd been perfectly happy by himself for the past few months, and now, they were lumping someone else in with him. He couldn't even tell them to piss off - the kid they were telling him to look after was in the room. She didn't seem to be listening, but the person who'd brought her round was probably just outside the door, and he didn't want to get into a fight with anyone about what a child should and shouldn't hear.

"I don't even know who the hell she is" he eventually managed to snap under his breath.

"Fair enough" Antonio shrugged. "I mean, it's not like you should at all. You didn't even know her before." He turned around to face the door and put his arm out. "Hey Giselle?"

The kid glanced up from the other side of the room and wandered over. "Oui?"

"Oh look at that" Lovino huffed. "It gets better - she'd French."

Antonio glared at the wall next to him as best he could. "This is Giselle, personification of Madagascar."

Giselle grinned. "Hiya" she waved madly. She didn't look that old - maybe twelve at the most and had dark hair in perfectly shaped corkscrews that was dragged backwards into a messy, bouncy ponytail by a bobble that was half hidden. At her side, she held a red headscarf she'd removed almost the second she'd got inside. She had dark skin, bright eyes and was dressed in a long red skirt that brushed the floor and a white, short sleeved shirt.

"Qualunque cosa" Lovino muttered, earning a more direct glare from Antonio that was still facing the wall.

"Look" Antonio sighed as Giselle wandered off again to stare at Lovino's bookshelf. "She's been to three meetings before in her life. She can't start coming to them now, not while the topics we discuss are so... violent."

"You're talking to a wall" Lovino sighed.

Antonio huffed. "That's not the point. It's either she stays here or runs around the halls of the conference buildings, probably getting herself into trouble."

"She won't get herself into trouble here though, will she?" Lovino frowned slightly.

"No" Antonio shook his head. "Unless you leave her."

Lovino opened his mouth to snap at him when the person who'd brought Giselle round wandered in, deep in conversation with Joao.

"It's probably an inconvenience for you" he said to Lovino, sheepishly scratching the back of his head. "I'm really sorry, but... you know... she has to be somewhere safe."
