The car stopped infront of grandma's big old house. It was here that we spent our happy and sad moments together. And by our, I mean both my family and my memories with Jay. I found out from mom that the neighbours had a spare key to the place and got it from them. It was a bit dusty inside, from being empty for about a year now.

I made my way to my room and found it well preserved as I left it 6 years back.

It took me a year to find out that Jay's parents died in a horrible accident. It was a sensitive topic which was never to be spoken around him and I learned that the hard way. That was the first day I had ever seen him so angry. He shut himself in his room for 2 days without any food because he overheard me talking to some of my friends that he resembled his drunk dad.

'He is not my dad.' He shouted to my face. 'That man can never replace my dad.'

We didn't talk much that year, whereas my relationship with Kyle was going strong. We were still best friends, sharing stories about school and TV shows over snacks each day, either at my place or at his.

Over a point of time, I realized that I might have feelings for Kyle, but that got crushed when I learnt that he had a girl friend.

It was the worst day of my life when Jay caught me trying to make a Valentine card for Kyle.

'He has a girl friend' he said with a grim expression on his face.

I was only 13 and it broke my heart. But I learnt to let it go.

It was also the best day of my life because it was when Jay started talking to me like a normal person.
