III. Night out

Friday Night

At the very corner of a dimly lit bar, a bartender is being kept busy by two engineering seniors. It was friday night and that means, students who needs to unwind after a long week, are out having a drink.

The two decided to order rum with coke since it's too early to get smash. The night is just beggining and the bar is slowly filling in with students and workers alike. The bar is cozy with light music humming in the background, still allowing people to discuss.

There were couches for people who came with a group to socialize and a high chair lining at the bar for those who just want to drink.

Right now, Forth and Lam was discussing about the upcoming yearly outing of freshmen Engineering students. They were thinking where to bring the students and what to prepare. They were considering the beach since it's where they often go.

"It's a 3 hour travel from the school so we have to leave early." Forth said.

"Then for the remaining day, we can go to a nearby school to do voluntary work." Forth continued while Lam nodded.

"If were going, does that mean that the Medical Rescue team will be coming too?" Lam suddenly asked.

Forth hummed at that before taking a sip on his glass. Lam then jabbed him with his shoulder, grinning at Forth. Forth only returned the jab to Lam.

"He's the head medic, what kind of a head is he if he's not going?" Forth replied.

"Who said anything about the head medic?" Lam teased.

"You were asking about the Medical Rescue team, Lam." Forth rolled his eyes at Lam.

"Exactly!!" Lam said as he grinned wider, "I was asking about the team, not the head medic,Forth."

"Speak of the devil." Lam said, looking at the direction of the entrance. "The crazy doctors are here."

Forth suddenly turned his head towards the entrance, almost gaving himself a whiplash. It was true, the crazy doctors are here with Ming and Yo. They were heading to one of the table available near where Forth and Lam are.

Phana saw them and gave them a wave. This got the attention of Pha's company,making them also look at where Pha is waving at. Beam was at the back of the group so when he saw who Phana was waving to, he quickly hid himself behind Kit even thought Kit can barely hide him.

Forth saw Beam hid himself so he controlled himself from going over to where Beam is, to coo at him.

"God, why is he so cute?!" Forth thought.

The group then settled themselves on the table after. Phana and Yo were sitting together, same with Kit and Ming. Forth and Lam also transferred to their table, making Beam and the two of them share a couch with Lam in the middle.

They quickly ordered a bucket of beer as they start the conversation to catch up with everyone. Forth is closed with Pha since their Freshmen year during the moon and star competition. They frequently drink together with other college moon and acquaintance.

Phana and Kit's eyes were dancing with mirth as they observe Beam squirm on his seat. Beam was trying not to jump across the table to run away from Forth's gaze, but Beam was known for his stubbornness. So instead of hiding himself away from Forth, Beam instantly directed a glare to Forth.

"What?!" Beam barked, "Is there something entertaining on my face?"

"You're cute." Forth thought, but he doesn't voiced it out. Instead, Forth playfully answered Beam.

"I'm just curious how you can manage not getting any wrinkles even though you're always grumpy."

"Excuse me!" Beam gasped.

Forth then put his eyebrow together with his two fingers, "Yeah, you always have them wrinkled everytime I meet you."

"Who's fault is that anyway?!" Beam scowled and raised his eyebrow at Forth.

"See! You're doing it again!" Forth pointed out, "Shame...even though you're cute"

"What...what?!!" Beam sputtered, slowly feeling the warmth creeping on his face.

"Look at them, P'Kit. Aren't you jealous seeing P'Beam and P'Forth flirting?" Ming interrupted.

"Yeah, Ming. I think I'm might be having diabetes just by hearing them flirt." Kit replied, amused with his boyfriend's joke.

"Forth! How dare you make me the 7th wheel?" Lam faked gasped at Forth.

By now, Beam's face looks like a tomato. Forth remained cool, seemingly unfazed by the teasing. Forth just lightly punched Lam's shoulder.

"Aw...let's copy them, P'Kitkat and flirt with each other." Ming continues.

"Why don't we observe them first, Ming. We might learn a lot." Kit laughed, clinging to Ming.

Beam  was really tempted to separate the two now. Kit is normally conscious when he's with Ming in the public, that's why Beam always teased him. But now that the table has turned, It's Kit chance to tease him.

"ForthBeam still can't defeat PhaYo though." Pha added, joining the teasing.

"I hate you all!" Beam mumbled, covering his now red face.

"P'Pha! Behave!" Yo scolded Pha, effectively shutting up the moon.

Only Wayo's words has the capabilities of shutting up Phana. When it comes to Wayo,
the usually bossy Pha becomes compliant. Beam could kiss Wayo right now for being an angel.

"P'Beam, don't mind this guy beside me. He's being stupid." Wayo sweetly said, giving Beam a smile.

"Stupid?" Now it's Pha's turn to be flustered.

"Yes. Stupid. So don't touch me until I said so." Wayo warned, moving away from Pha.

Pha groaned, glaring at Ming who's laughing so hard at the turn of the event.

Ming, Phana, and Lam were having a drinking competition to find out whose tolerance is stronger. Phana challenged Ming earlier because of an offhand comment from Ming saying that Pha never win against Wayo. Lam got roped in when they started arguing about who is the strongest. Forth declined, reasoning that he's driving his bike.

After a while, Lam noticed that Beam isn't drinking anything alcoholic since they started drinking.

"Hey, Beam. Why aren't you drinking?" Lam asked.

Beam nervously gulped his lemonade. Indeed, he's the only one among them who's not drinking. Even Wayo is drinking  soju, which could be considered a hard drink.

Before Beam could reply, Kit already beat him to it.

"Beam had stopped drinking since 2nd year of college, Lam." Kit said, "...and don't force him to drink, it's no use. I also tried."

Hearing this, Forth becomes interested and looked at Beam, downing his glass of lemonade.  Beam was starting to get fidgety again.

When Beam finished his lemonade, he quickly got up, excusing himself to the bathroom.

Forth could only follow him with his eyes.
