"So...Beam, honey..." Marla started when Forth was completely gone.

"How much do you want?"

Beam tilted his head slightly, wondering if he heard that right. He looked at Marla confused with her sudden change of tone, though the woman is still smiling.

"Don't act coy, honey. How much do you want so that you'll leave my son?" She smiled sweetly.

It was quiet between them but the clanking of pots from the kitchen can be heard. Beam's throat suddenly feels dry, he gulped visibly at the offer. He could not find his voice to say anything back at her.

"Is 25,000 baht enough, dear?" She asked as she stood up to get her purse from the nearby coffee table.

"I think you've misunderstand something, ma'am." Beam said when he noticed she was fishing for money in her purse.

"Don't fool me, young man. I know the likes of you." She coldly said, inching towards Beam. Before he could say something, Marla threw a bunch of paper bills in front of the younger man without any hesitancy, "Take all these money and just leave!"

Beam was shocked but he stood up to tell her, "I wont leave if Forth wont say it! I know this is your house, ma'am, but to treat me like..."

He paused when he caught sight at the money thrown in front of him.

"Toy..." Beam picked up the scattered bill on the table, "...money?" He asked, inspecting the paper closely.

For the third time at that day, he was caught off guard by an another Jaturapoom. He scrunched his eyebrows together when he heard Marla laughing at him. Like a gaping fish, he open and closed his mouth trying to understand what just happened.

"My granddaughter left this here when Forth's eldest brother visited me." She said, still laughing at Beam. "I always wanted to do that."

"Excuse me?" He asked taken aback at her statement.

"I'm sorry, honey for scaring you." She apologized while giggling at the same time, not looking sorry at all, "I want to try acting like a k-drama rich mom."

Beam took a glance at the direction of the kitchen, hoping for Forth to appear. Now he regretted being left alone with his mother, he has no idea how to take in the situation he is currently in. The woman is nice but a little crazy, Beam is scared to what will happen next.

"Anyway..." She sigh, trying to stop her laughing, "What I want to ask is why you and Forth aren't together yet?"

Beam blushed, trying to think of the reason. Now that he is asked with that question, he suddenly wished he should had taken her offer earlier. Even if it was just toy money, at least he would be spared from any embarrassment.

"Umm...I think that's personal, auntie." He tried to reason, it's not personal but he can't just say to her that he made his son chased after him.

"Nonsense!! Forth came out from my personal space!" She countered.

"Oh my god." Beam silently cringed.

"It's not personal when Forth is my son."

"...but I'm not your son, auntie." He weakly protested.

"You are such a cutie pie, Beam. You're inside my house, that makes you my unofficial son." She stated as a matter of fact.

Beam backtracked at that logic. He can't just win against this auntie. Marla is one persistent mother and nosy at that.

He cleared his throat before saying, "umm...we're still getting to know each other?" he tried answering but it came out as a question instead.

"When did you start getting to know each other?"

"3 months ago." It was when Forth first asked for his number.

"That long? But my Forth is handsome." She said.

He chuckled, "True. He is handsome." He agreed.

Then Beam got quiet, he realized how love Forth is. His parents dote on him and Beam is not sure if it's alright to be with Forth. He's afraid that he would just make it harder for Forth when they are together, Forth could be wasting a happy life when he's with him.

Beam looked down at his lap, he frowned at that thought. "Are...are you okay with Forth dating a guy?" He stuttered.

"Hmmmm...." Marla hummed like she was thinking for her answer and she looked at Beam gently, "Honestly... I'm not okay with that."

Beam sharply inhaled at her answer, he doesn't know how to react.

"Forth is one of my precious sons." She unconsciously smiled, "I'm his mother and I worry a lot for him."

Beam nodded but he stayed silent.

"When he first told me that he can also like guys, I asked myself where did I go wrong. I was afraid that this could make life difficult for him." Marla softly said, "At first, I cried every time I pray for him before going to sleep. Then I took the effort of understanding him, I decided that whoever he will bring home in the future, be it a girl or boy, I will still love him." She continued.

She stretch her hands towards Beam and took his hand to hers, "He's my son and I just want him to be happy. At the end of the day, he would still go out there and make decisions for himself and at the mean time, I'll be here waiting for my children so that they have somewhere to return when they are hurt or just...happy." She smiled tenderly at Beam.

Beam's eyes stung a little bit and it's making him teary. Forth is really lucky to have a mother like Marla, he had always imagined Forth as someone who grew up in a loving family. He tried to wiped the wetness from his eye but Marla caught him.

"Oh dear, I made you cry." She stood up to get the box of tissue for Beam.

"I'm not crying..." he denied but he pulled a sheet of tissue from the box, "I'm just happy. That's all." He also smiled at her.

"Good, because you're also welcome here, Beam. If you don't have somewhere to return, you can always come here with Forth." She said, patting Beam's head.

"Thank you." Beam said in hushed tone.

A/N: Please excuse all the grammar and typo errors I made in this fic.

a/n:

I think my inspiration for Forth's mother is Gloria from Modern Family. She's a good mother and I think she could handle having Forth as a son. Anyways!!! Thank you for the stars last chapter, I hope you'll also like this one.
