“Bye Morgan, I’ll miss you” Scott said embracing me in a big hug. “Yeah, I’ll miss you too, tell Mellissa I said bye and I love her”. He nodded, “are you sure you can’t stay” I asked. “Sorry, I have work tomorrow morning. Maybe some week I could”. I nodded and gave him another hug. “Ok, well, I’ll talk to you later” I said. “Okey byeee”.
I shut the cab door and fell into the seat, that was the end of my fun trip at my Cousins house. But I was leaving again in a few weeks with Allison, Paisley, Matt, and Paisleys brother. So I had that to look forward too, but I really wanted to stay at Scott’s house because I loved it there in Beacon Hills, but I also loved my dad who lived in L.A.
I plugged in my earbuds the entire car ride and ended up being yelled at to wake up. The man asked for money and I gave him my credit card. He swiped it on his iphone attatchment thing.
I jumped on my bed and closed my eyes; I was extremely tired from my long car ride. And there, I fell asleep.
Three Weeks Later
“Dad I’ll be fine” I said giving him one last kiss. “Ok, please be safe and careful” he begged. I nodded and jumped in the backseat of Paisley’s truck. “Bye dad” I waved goodbye, he waved all the way until a house cut off our stare.
“We’re headed straight for the cabin, and it’s about a four hour road trip so, get comfy”
“I will” I said and pulled out a pillow, and fell into a dreamless dream.

“Morgan, wake up Jesus Christ” someone shook me to death. I groaned and leaned up. “What, I’m up” “and we’re here”.
I crawled out of the car and was passed by Paisley’s brother with huge luggage bags. “Oh, we are, that was fast” I chuckled, wiping my eyes; it was almost solid black outside. I got up and got out my bag from the trunk. “Hey sexy” Brent, Paisleys brother, said passing me holding a big bag in one hand. Trying to show off his muscles. “Perve” I groaned and walked into the big cabin. It was a shame Matt couldn’t make it. He was a little sick witht he flu and didn’t feel like coming all the way out there.
The cabin wasn’t all too big; it was actually the size of my house. “Our room is down the hallway, last one on the right” Paisley said and I followed her to our bedroom we three girls would be sharing.
The floors were a light oak wood brown, and the walls were painted white. There were two king size beds, and three dressers. I didn’t think that would be enough space for all of our clothes. And our closet was pretty big too but still, it was three girls and one closet.
“I’ll bring in the food and stuff” she said and left.
I sat on the bed next to the window that overlooked the flooding lake. All the trees stood dead silent, every croak from a frog or splash from a fish was easily heard. “Morgan, come outside, Brent and his friend are starting a bon fire, and his friend is Jack” she said with a large smile. I nodded and followed her outside.
A bright fire lit up the night beautifully, you could only see about 20 feet around the fire.
“Come sit” Paisley said patting the spot on the log beside her. I sat and snuggled with my jacket, it was a little cold outside at night. I saw an unfamiliar face glowing behind the flames, I guess my creeped out expression made him laugh. “I’m Jack, I don’t suppose you’ve seen me around at school” he said. “I’m Morgan and no I haven’t”.
“Beacon Hills, I heard their high school is known for their best player, Scott McCall, on the lacrosse team”. When he said Scott’s name my head shot up, “can’t stand that guy”. I felt an insane hate in my gut. “What’s so bad about him” I asked with a pity expression, but no one could see. “First off he’s a sex addict; I heard he hit some chick named Allison up plenty of times. She was smart for taking the easy way out” he laughed doing a fake, 'slit throat'. I wanted to slit his throat.
