"Jeon Wonwoo!" I shouted from the dining table.
"Uhuh?" he replied, not even taking a look at me.
All his attention was on the television screen in front of him as his fingers moved swiftly on the controller. He had been gaming for half a day already.
"Wonwoo-yah! Eat your dinner! That game can wait! It won't run away or anything," I scolded him.
He opened his mouth.
"No way! I already fed you lunch. You're eating dinner with your own two hands," I protested.
He kept quiet and continued gaming. He sulked. No way that was going to work again. I strode over to him and snatched his controller from him. I pressed a button to pause the game. He glared at me. He reached out to his controller but I held it up. He stood up but I pushed him back down.
"Oh, what's this? A 'save game' button," I exclaimed sarcastically upon looking at the pause menu.
"Yah yah yah! I was so into it-"
Before he could finish his sentence, I had already pressed the save and quit game button. He sighed. I turned off the console and set the controller down as he sat sulking in defeat.
"You can be 'so into it' another day but now, since we're both home and free, why don't you actually spend time with me? Come and eat dinner please," I suggested.
I headed to the dining table where the food was getting cold. I wonder how many times I had to do this just to get him to look away from the television and at me. Before I got to the table, I received a sudden back hug from my boyfriend. He was much taller to than me such that he could perch his head on my head. His arms were wrapped around my waist loosely.
"Carat, I'm sorry. You're right. I should spend more time with you instead of playing games. I'll stop playing for the rest of the night," he apologised in his deep voice.
"Just the rest of the night?" I turned around and asked him.
"Okok, I'll only play up to 4 hours per day. I promise," he promised.
"Alright, fine. You'd better not break your promise," I warned him.
He nodded his head vigorously.
4 days later~
"Carat~" Wonwoo cooed as he jumped into bed.
I was reading a good book and it was near evening. I was not used to him being out of his gaming den at this time although he had been bugging me like this the past 3 days.
"What do you want?" I asked, looking up from my book.
"My 4 hours are up so I came to spend time with you," he told me as he clung to me.
Well, I did ask for this. I sighed. I looked back at the book I had been enjoying then at Wonwoo, who stared innocently at me. I was so comfortable and into the book but he just had to come and disturb me. After his 4 hours were up, he would bug me after that all the way until he fell asleep. I guess this was what he had been feeling when he was indulged in a game and I came to disturb him or tell him to stop.
"You know what? You can go play until I make dinner. Screw the 4-hour thing. Just play as long as you want as long as you eat meals with me," I said to him.
"Yay! Thank you! I love you~" he kissed me before running off.
...
Wait... He did that on purpose, didn't he? URgh. Nevermind, at least I could be at peace again.
