Chapter 5 - "Shooting Stars"

"looks like we're​ all set up for the night" said Sehun brushing the dust off his jeans. The three of them had made a small den on the roof of Chanyeol's building with a perfect view across the city and the open sky's.

They had snacks to last them days cause they all knew how much they ate and had set up Sehun's old telescope he had found the the attic all that was left now was to watch.

Chanyeol was looking forward to this not just because it was going to be a one in a life time chance but also he had a feeling deep inside that something would happen. Something that would change him for good or for bad he didn't know but all he knows that something was going to happen, something big.

Kai pulled out a speaker and soon they were all dancing Around looking like idiots apart from Kai of course. While chanyeol and Sehun were looking like fish out of water ,while Kai was there looking smooth showing of some cool moves.

"You know I don't know how I became friends with such bad dancers" said Kai laughing at his two friends.

"Well why don't you teach us some moved then" smirked Chanyeol.

"Challenge accepted" replied Kai rolling up his sleeves preparing for battle. the next half an hour was filled with the sound chairs breaking,chanyeol and sehun falling each others feet and kai yelling at them. It ended with them all lying on the floor laughing like hyenas. nothing was said as they all lay there staring at the star struck sky above them, taking in the view

"So when do you think Kai will ask out Kyungsoo" breaking the silences. At that sentences Kai sat up straight staring at daggers at sehun. 

"What gave you the idea that i like Kyungsoo" said Kai with a light pink slowly climbing up his cheeks. 

"Oh come on its so obvious that you like him, i mean on when you first saw him you couldn't take your eyes off him." Stated Sehun sitting up and looking kai in the eyes.

"I.....I..........no.......I mean.........do think i......i like him?" stammered Kai looking around at his friends for help. 

Chanyeol burst out laughing. "your so stupid you have a massive crush on him, you could see it from space." Kai blushed and started playing with the edge of the blanket. 

"You think so, w-what do i do, I-I've never done this properly before." said Kai turning his head way and looking at the floor. 

"Well first become friends them go from there." Stated Sehun with an agreeing nod from Chanyeol. A smile spread across Kai face, it was nice to know he had supportive friends. 

"Hay i know just the song for this occasion." Stated Chanyeol pulling out his phone and loading up Spotify. Sehun peaked over his shoulder to see what song he was looking for and smiled. Once he found the song he gave a cheeky smile and hit play. 

"I can see whats happening" mouthed chanyeol 

"What" synced Sehun following chanyeol's idea. 

"And they don't have a clue" continued chanyeol 

"Who" followed Sehun 

"They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line, our trio's down to two." Kai releasing what song it was let out a loud laugh.  he had loved the lion king since he was little and this song was one of his favourite. He never thought that can you feel the love tonight would be the death of him. 

"Ok guys i get the point you can stop now" said Kai wishing to not deepen his embarrassment.

"Ze sweet caress of twilight" continued Chanyeol as if he hadn't herd kai. 

"There's magic everywhere" 

"And with all this romantic atmosphere," he synced staring at kai as he did. "Disasters in the air!!" he finished with a goofy grin at Kai know that this was just the start of the teasing. As the song continued Sehun and Chanyeol fake ballroom danced their way around the rooftop to a very unimpressed Kai. 

"And if he fall in love tonight it can be assumed" sniffed sehun pretending to fake cry 

"His care free days with us are history" followed chanyeol.

"In short out pal is Dooooooommmed" Finished the pair before breaking down in fake tears. 

When they had finished they took a couple bows before looking a kai. "very funny guys, come the showers going to start soon." said Kai quickly changing the subject. They all sat down at the edge of the rooftop looking at the stars. no one said, just waiting for something to happen. Chanyeol scanned the sky's waiting for something to happen, anything.

"Look there!" shouted sehun pointing at a spot on the horizon. they all look to where he was pointing to see a single stream of light making its away across the sky. it was soon joined by another and then another and soon enough the sky was filled with light. With thousands and thousands of shooting stars making their way across the sky. 

One star caught chanyeols eye. It seamed different to the others, seamed to be closer than the others and moving in a different direction to them. HE followed it to see what it was doing, seamed to be coming closer to them although it was still far away.  

Suddenly Chanyeol stood up, he didn't know why it was as if someone was controlling his body making him move. He started walking towards the exit. 

"Yah Chanyeol where are you going" yelled Kai beckoning to sehun for them to follow their friend.

"I don't know" Yelled back Chanyeol as he started to break into a run as he exited the apartment building. he looked up at the sky still filled with stars and that one star was definaty coming closer, he sped up again heading through the streets not knowing where he was heading. 

"Hay Chanyeol wait up" Yelled Sehun from behind him. But he couldn't. he kept moving through the streets doging people desperate to get to a place he didn't where. He turned a conor to see that park ahead of him, surprisingly empty. He felt his body slow, he was out of breath and very tried but kept moving. 

He looked up again to see the star even closer than before. he didn't know what to do, he entered the park and stopped in front of  a big open space. Chanyeol stood there out of breath looking at the star growing closer every second. 

"Yah" yelled Sehun as he and kai pulled up beside him out of breath as well. " why the hell did you take off like that" 

"Look" said chanyeol pointing at the star. They all stood there staring at it come closer and closer, yet still no one moved. 

Chanyeol suddenly felt a feeling in his chest, the one he go when he dreamt of that person falling of the cliff. he looked up at the star now in the outer cloud and wondered. "Could this star be doing this to him" he knew it was impossible but at the same time it all made sense. "Could this be the reason that I've had that dream all these years, and why it has changed recently? Could this star be the person on that cliff?"

"Guys it's getting pretty close now, we really should move" said kai trying to move his feet but couldn't. it was like all three of them were stuck to where they stood and couldn't move.

"Um..Guys" said Sehun nervously "GUYS!"

The star was now  meters away and coming in fast. it came closer and closer with no sign of  stopping. The light was blinding they all covered their eyes to block out the light. 

They braced for impact.
