Chapter 17 - "Trust?"

"Baekhyun where have you been?" Chanyeol called. Baekhyun didn't replied, he just ran straight into Chanyeol's arms. The force caused Chanyeol to stumbled but soon regained his balanced. He looked down at Baekhyun concerned. 

"What's wrong?" Chanyeol asked in a soft voice, so the people around wouldn't hear. Baekhyun just shook his head and buried his head further into Chanyeol's chest. They were started to get weird looks from other students at they passed, by Chanyeol just shrugged them off. They only thing that Chanyeol could do was wrap his arms around the small boy to try and comfort him.

"Baek... please talk to me" Chanyeol said softly. 

"Not here" Baekhyun replied in a shaky voice. Chanyeol nodded and quickly pulled the boy to the nearest bathroom. As they walked the bell rang, signalling the start of lessons, but they both just ignored it. When they entered, Chanyeol quickly scanned the bathroom to check that no one was in there before rounding on Baekhyun. 

"Baekhyun what's wrong? What happened?" Chanyeol questioned. He was getting worried seeing the sliver haired boy in such a state. Baekhyun looked up, his face tear stained, his eyes red. Chanyeol quickly moved closer, gently wiping the tears from Baekhyun's face with his thumb. The smaller leaned into the touch, closing his eyes for a second. After a moment of silence the boy spoke. 

"I don't know" Baekhyun whispered. "I don't know what happened, Mr Kim grabbed my hand then he wouldn't let go and when i tried to make him all these sparks came out of my hand and it hurt him but I don't know when or if it's going to happen again or if i will be able to control it-" 

Chanyeol pulled the rambling boy into his chest. He wrapped his arms around him tight and gently smoothed his hair. Baekhyun clung to Chanyeol's shirt, never wanting to let go. 

"Don't worry, It's all going to be ok" Chanyeol soothed. Baekhyun looked up at him eyes wide and scared. Chanyeol tried his best not to coo at the cute sight. 

"how... how do you know that?" Baekhyun whispered. 

"Because I'm here with you and i won't let anything bad happen to you, so what ever is going i will help you get through it." Baekhyun blushed and looked away. Chanyeol was sweet he was too sweet. Baekhyun felt he didn't deserved his kindness. 

"Thank you" Baekhyun mumbled into his chest. The pair stayed like that for a few minutes, not saying anything. Baekhyun felt so safe in Chanyeol's arms, and he never wanted to leave.  

"Do you feel better now?" Chanyeol asked softly. Baekhyun nodded and pulled away from Chanyeol's chest.

"We should probably head to class" Chanyeol mumbled. Baekhyun nodded again and reluctantly pulled out of the hug. AS they left the bathroom Baekhyun slowly slipped his hand into Chanyeol's. It made him feel safe and at ease, which was definitely what he need right now.

Baekhyun spent the rest of the day glued to Chanyeol's side. He never left the taller's side even for a moment. He was too scared. All he wanted to do was go home and hide. So when the end of the day finally came around Baekhyun rushed him and Chanyeol out the classroom without a second thought. 

When they arrived home, Baekhyun went straight to bed and amedatly cocooned himself in blankets. Chanyeol felt bad for the boy but he didn't know if there was anything to make him feel better. But it was worth a try. 

"Hey" Chanyeol said gently knocking on the door.

"Go away" The blankets replied. "I... i don't want to hurt you" A pang of sorrow filled Chanyeol stomach as he made his way across the room to the pile of blankets. 

"Baekhyun you're not going to hurt me" Chanyeol said softly. 

"How do you know that?" Baekhyun asked emerging form the blankets his face streaked with tears. "How do you know anything about me? I feel from the sky a few weeks ago yet you treat me as if we've been friends for years? How do you know that one i'll wake up and stab you in the back!?" 

The room filled with silence after Baekhyun's sudden outburst. Chanyeol could only stare at the small fragile boy in front of him. Baekhyun was right, how did Chanyeol trust him so easily? He didn't know. 

"How can you trust me when i don't even trust myself?" Baekhyun whispered. Tears streamed hard and fast down the smaller's face. Chanyeol slowly lifted his hand and slowly and wiped away the tears. 

"I can trust you because i know you wont hurt me...

I know who you are"
